True dat. As with any new show, it normally takes me a couple of episodes to get into the groove of the characters. I thought the show did a good job of setting things up with the characters. Of course some of the plot points we can see coming from a mile away but it'll be interesting see how the characters get there.

Anyway, I'm a sucker for a juicy soap opera, so hopefully this will make for some good summer TV viewing.

I made it to the 5 minute mark and decided it was way too porny. Pass.

Personally I find these humane mouse traps rather ineffective. Better to lay down some glue and when you hear the critter scream you take a shovel to his head.

Didn't expect it but I loved it.
Will definitely be watching as long as the writing/acting is as good as it was on the first show.

I too could only take 5 minutes of this. I used to be hip to these shows, but I guess now that Mr Wonderful finally found me, and married for the first time at 51, I guess seeing married people F around isn't as much fun as it once was.

I can't abide adultery, I watched to be sure I wasn't missing anything - and IMO I won't be. I did like the dynamic between the women but what are the odds that everyone in a group of 4 is touched by cheating all at the same time? I think I'm done with this one, bring on Drop Dead Diva lol

I don't look to shows for any kind of moral message....I look for the story the writers will tell. I'm not big on reading fictions/romance novels, but I can really enjoy watching a good story without getting bogged down and distracted in their "message". This show probably won't last because the "morality police" won't let it. It's too well done.

I just want to be entertained - I hope it is successful

Same here. I watch television for the same reasons I always have: to be entertained. And soap operas and dramas provide that for me. I'm not watching shows looking for positive role models. Rather, I'm looking for good writing and juicy story lines that engage me and keep me hooked and wanting more. I feel if given chance, Mistresses could prove a decent show. But like you said, it probably won't last.

I do agree with you prhoshay, I want to be entertained but MY moral compass won't allow me to look past it, it's too distracting.
