Watched the Longmire season 2 premiere. It sucked. It was so stupid...I just wanted to scream. Really, walking up a mountain with no equipment in cowboy boots and jeans, not getting hypothermia after falling into a freezing stream... he should have been dead 10 times over in this show. Then somehow the one escapee just happened to see him among the trees and starts shooting...not buying it. Just bad, bad, bad writing.
Oh, lets not forget the so called guilt over killing his wife's murderer and being so stupid as to not cover his tracks. What is the point of having all this experience with criminals if you can't put it to good use?
I agree 100% Bearcata. The episode, to me, felt out of place as a premiere too. I have higher hopes for this show!
Longmire - NOT up to par with last season. Needed more of the supporting cast in the story. Sloppy writing. And I can't remember - why is his daughter missing again?
I don't remember why she is missing. Last season, Longmire's daughter found out her mother was murdered instead of dying from cancer like she was told by her dad. Longmire didn't like her relationship with his partner and they argued. She stopped answering her phone. I'm not sure if she left on her on because of all the turmoil in her life or if it had to do with a law case at work.
I was disappointed in the premiere but I'm hoping it will make sense in future episodes. There were episodes last season that were strange but made sense after several episodes. I'm not giving up on it yet, it is one of my summer favorites.
I watched the new series Motive the other day. I think that was the name. Anyhow, I won't be wasting any more time on it. It struck me as a bad knockoff of Body of Proof. The lead was irritating. I just wanted her to go away. I didn't like the way the story was done either.
It was so bad that my attention was wandering by the end & when it ended & the next show started, I didn't even realize this 'till about 15 minutes into the next show, when I looked at the clock.
I'm anxiously awaiting the return of Saving Hope.
