Great episode again this week. It's weird seeing Lagertha with someone other than Ragnar, but I guess I'll have to wait and see how it all plays out.

Does anyone know what the significance of the snake in the eye is?

They just announced that a 3rd season has been picked up for this show! That makes me happy

Last week's episode was so intense. The scene with Athelstan (the one they call "priest") being crucified was so hard to watch. I am glad Ecbert ordered him down. He is becoming one of my favourite characters.

Jarl Borg needs a good butt kickin'....

Yes, I just saw that on Vikings Facebook page and I am ecstatic! This show has quickly become one of my absolute favourites.

Oh that scene with Athelstan....poor thing. Hated seeing him be tortured like that.

    Re: Vikings - History Channel

Im glad other people are watching this. I didnt see Season One (really didnt know it existed) when it initially aired--maybe because its the History Channel.
But, I came across it and went back and watched season one on Amazon Prime(free) and so loved it. THC really spent some money on production values, including writers/director/set design. But, the actors are really very enthralling also. The storylines also seem to be historically accurate for the most part, and I for one admire the writers for not being compelled to making the Vikings into Hero choir boys just to make us like them more. Theres plenty to like about the characters, but, theres also plenty NOT to admire (rapin' & pillaging with a smile) since by all accounts, thats how they were.
I too. cant help but hope Ragnar gets back with Lagertha tho--call me a romantic plus I dont like his new chick.
I cant blame Lagertha for not going back. Here she brings her soldiers with her to help him, and aside from gushing over how his son has grown, he barely gives her the time of day, much less thanks. But there I go contradicting myself. On one hand I like how the writers are keeping true to the times, but, on the other hand I cant help but get pissed cause theyre acting like vikings, or not hooking up with the girl I want Ragnar too...
Hurting you is the last thing I want to do... but it's still on the list

Pipsqueek, I couldn't agree more with you...this show has great production values, great acting / actors etc. You're certainly not alone in your dislike of Ragnar's new wife Aslaugh...not many people seem to. I too miss him with Lagertha.

Loved the reunion between Ragnar and his son Bjorn. I like the new grown up Bjorn. Great casting choice as well.

I just finished season 2 marathon. It was such a great season. I'm so Vikings was renewed...2015 is so far away.

2015 seems like a lifetime away doesn`t it? Sigh...

It sure does. So much happened, I didn't want it to end.
I really like how they developed Lagertha's character this season.

    Me too!

Also, I was mad as heck at Flocki. I thought he had turned on Ragnar at first.

I too loved the way they developed Lagertha this past season too. Although I'm missing her with Ragnar. Aslaugh as Ragnar's wife pales in comparison to Lagertha.

As for Floki, he had me fooled right up until the end of the season finale...I thought for sure he'd turned on Ragnar and the gang. But he had a master plan all along that I didn't see coming.
