My local channel has been advertising that this show will start airing soon. I never even knew such a show existed, but I've always loved the Vikings, so I've got my calendar marked and will be watching this show with bells on.

Looking forward to going back and getting caught up on any prior seasons also.

History.ca has Season 1 online so people can catch up. I can't speak for the US website because I can't get to it. My browser keeps flipping it back to the Canadian site.

WOOO HOOO!! Gonna be soooo goood! Will be interesting to see what happens between Rollo and Ragnar this season. Plus there's the whole "baby mama" situation with Ragnar and that other woman...I can't remember her name.

Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing the gang again.

So glad this show is back. I really enjoyed the first episode! I actually feel bad for Rollo and was glad to see his brother help him out. Lagertha is one tough chick I tell ya - took some courage to walk away from everything like she did.

    Re: Vikings - History Channel

Is anyone else feeling sort of disconnected from this season? I don't know if it's the jumps in time or what, but I'm not feeling as invested this season. I'm also not happy that they split up Ragnar and Lagertha. Aslaug doesn't really have much of a personality and there's not much between her and Ragnar other than the children. I always enjoyed that push and pull between Ragnar and Lagertha.

Maybe things will "settle down" now that they've made that big time jump. They can't keep doing that or they'll have to get a whole new cast!

Of course it was inevitable, but it makes me sort of sad that Athelstan has become like them...almost. He was merciful in killing that priest, but he's pretty much left all of his old self behind at this point.

There is a lot about Ragnar that is unknown, but what is known is that he had three wives and several sons who became hero types in their own right. So, it makes sense that Ragnar and Lagertha's marriage didn't last. I credit actress Katheryn Winnick with making her character so compelling to us.
