I know! I binge watched the first 8 episodes yesterday and want to finish today before I get spoiled. When can we start discussing it without spoilers here?

I'm up to Chapter 20. I can finish it off today. I love binge watching over seeing a season one week at a time. I just wish there was less time between seasons.

    Re: House of Cards

My long-distance BF and I promised to only watch this show together. We made it to episode 8 during his visit this past, long weekend. He doesn't have Netflix (and no internet or anything!) and won't be back up here until end of March, so I'm dying to know how it all comes out! Could have knocked me over with a feather, that first episode. Still reading to see at what point specifics can be discussed, I kinda wish Netflix would only release fewer episodes at a time, so there could be more discussion.

My son works on The Hill. He is a 'deputy press secretary' for a congressman.

We started watching this weekend to just see what life is like when you are in politics in WASHDC.

DH and I are only on S1.

OMG all this politicis stuff is so cut throat!!!!!

My son LOVES it and everything DC.

HOC is very good. I love KS. And I am so loving RW.

    Re: House of Cards

There were three instances of what I would consider animal abuse or the threat of abuse in Season 2 that I was shocked by and I felt were totally unnecessary for plot development. Other than that I enjoyed the second season, but I wish we wouldn't have to wait a year between seasons.

Was that a guinea pig? I thought it was a chinchilla, but I'm not such an expert on longhaired rodents, so I'll defer to you there. The first was in Episode 1 where the guy who makes the ribs described what he called an "illegal" way to kill a cow. As soon as I caught on to where he was going I muted my TV so as not to hear it. I might be too sensitive. Makes me want to go Kosher, though. I really thought that was the big shocking thing in ep.1 that had been discussed here, 'til the Zoe thing happened.

Only up to episode 6 so I'm not reading the posts yet. Just felt the need to come and say that, although I love everything about this show, I adore Robin Wright's portly of Claire.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.
