I'm so bummed! This season is almost over and who knows how long they'll make us wait for season two
I hate when the cops throw me in the back of the squad car ....like they didnít hear me call shotgun.

I totally loved this episode. It was PACKED with reveals, unravels, twists, deaths, you name it!!!! You never knew what was going to happen next. Just well done all around.

Damn, what a good show! I will miss it when this season's over. I agree, so many twists and turns, intense build ups, swerves and whatnot.

So, about halfway through last night's show, I found myself thinking - hm. Jacob is turning out to be one of the more interesting characters on the show mainly due to his inner conflicts, etc. Well. I guess that was pointless rumination! LOL

Joe is in real bad shape. I just don't see him making it past the finale. And now that the cult which Joe spent his time in jail growing and cultivating is mostly all dead, I just don't see where they can go from there.

I like the show a lot but I'm wondering how they are going to do a S2. If they keep on about Joe and Claire and the Poe stuff, I think the viewers are going to get bored with it getting dragged out.

Last nights show had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. The poor FBI lady... I would absolutely be done for if I was buried alive ...I can't even imagine. EEK!

I was feeling the same way about Joseph and in a strange way had been kind if rooting for him. He always seemed so conflicted. Even when it came to carrying out his punishments on Claire he'd always make a point of telling her he was just following Joe's orders. I felt bad seeing him die.

I agree that Joe seems like he's at the end of his tether...how he'll survive past this season only God knows. I am wondering if they'll finish Joe off and then focus season two on an entirely new serial killer. Maybe someone influenced by Joe, possibly one of his followers keeping Joe's "legend" alive...dunno.

I was thinking something similar. Like the show could turn in to a cross between a bad-guy-of-the-week procedural and a 24-style concept. Whereby each season is a new cult. And they spend the whole season tracking that. You could delve into the hive mentality, learn about the backstories of the members etc. The only thing is that they've built so much of this on the Joe/Ryan/Claire relationship. The writers would have to establish a way to keep Ryan around since the only reason he's tolerated now is for his expertise.

I was very disappointed seeing him die. I was also rooting for him. He was conflicted and the only one who was not all the way gone, that had hope. I could see them killing Joe off and Emma taking his place as a new serial killer. I am already bored with Joe, Claire, and Poe. I am still on the fence whether I want Claire to survive to next season.

I would be terrified if I was in the place of the FBI lady. That would be a horrible way to die. I don't see how they could rescue her in time, but who knows. I would only hope that if I was in her place, I would still have a gun on me so I could blow my brains out.

Didn't they show her talking to Ryan on her cell phone. If the phone has GPS, they should be able to track her location that way.

    Re: The Following

LOL, true dat. Ryan will find the FBI lady! Fingers crossed...

The most despicable character on this show, to me, is Emma. She is just so nasty. I always find myself hoping that Claire will kill her! Yikes. (This coming from the person that has to cover her eyes for like 30% of each episode due to all the gruesomeness.)

And how about the poor young FBI guy who takes a licking and keeps on ticking? He is still alive, right? Initially I suspected he was part of the cult but not after all the abuse he's taken.

I can't imagine what season 2 will be like. In a way it reminds me of Damages, where every episode of season one was edge-of-your-seat drama but season 2 just didn't have the same edge. Here's hoping the Following writers come up with something great for S2!
