I saw it. I couldn't make up my mind as to whether I thought it was really funny or a little too slapstick. But I've always loved Bill Pullman and I'll definitely give it time to grow on me.
I didn't like it. I may try it again. I have seen a couple of other new shows - I might take a look at instead
I'm on the fence. There were a few moments that led to like it, but more that led me to wonder what they were doing. I'll give it another chance though. Pilots are so often rough.
There are some shows that I just fell in love with almost immediately upon the opening of the pilot episode --- almost like "love at first sight" --- like Cheers, MASH, Sex and the City,The West Wing, LA Law, Friday Night Lights, My So Called Life, and more recently Smash, Army Wives, and Downton Abby. This show, unfortunately wasn't one of them. I thought it might have potential cause Veep is also a White House comedy and it's very smart and funny, but as I watched the 1600 Penn pilot I just kept cringing and feeling like they were just trying too hard, but not succeeding.
I haven't watched but recorded it. I had read in Entertainment Weekly that this first show was not very representational about how good it really is.
So I'm going to give it a try in January even if this one is not that great.
Finally watched this....mostly hated it.
I know that I read it gets better but geeze, a lot is needed to get better.
I thought maybe if they got rid of the oldest son, who is extremely gross and annoying...........and then I read that he is co-creator, so I'd doubting he's going anywhere.
i didn't like it very much but I would really like to have Jenna's figure.
Sounded so formulaic from the descriptions I read I never even thought to look for it. I guess a lot depends on the execution. Look forward to reading comments on future episodes to see how it turned out.
