I like her latest guy, the country star. There seems to be a genuine "like" between them & a mutual understanding of their lives. He seems like a nice guy too. I liked the way he treated others.
I couldn't stand the last guy. The one she made the record with. I thought he talked down to her & never saw any "like" from him, just a guy who wanted to get in her pants.

Deacon, I get, Loads of attraction, chemistry, & "like", but they have so much bad history between them. I can see why they are both staying away from each other.

Am I the only one that wants Juliette and Avery together? I really like their scenes together.

Avery is finally getting Juliette to realize that they can be friends (with benefits or without, whatever), but that he really cares about her without any ulterior motives.

I don't like Luke Wheeler - something about him rubs me the wrong way.

I love the way this show is making me change my opinion of the characters.

I couldn't stand Avery at the beginning & even hated the dirty, bummy way he looked. This season they've cleaned him up & I find him somewhat cute. He's also seemed to grow into a better person. I like the honesty & friendship between him & Juliette. I still don't like him with Scarlett. He just doesn't seem all that supportive of her career. But with the changes so far, you never know.

Juliette is probably the one I've changed views on the most. I saw her as a nasty, mean spirited, self centered, narcisistic, trashy bimbo. The less we saw of her the better.
This season I absolutely love the scenes with her in them. She's complex, has a mind of her own, has grown up immensely & somewhere inside she has a good heart. Sure, she's still a trashy bimbo, but now I feel for her when she just keeps screwing things up for herself. She's definitely the most fun to watch.

I love Juliette. She's a piece of work, that's for sure, but she makes the show for me. She can be so naughty, but I still root for her. I don't see her with Avery, because his personality does not suit her, IMO. She needs a really tough man with loads of experience and I don't think Avery is there yet. She will still chew him up.

Did anyone catch the glance at the butt that the new Record Company President gave Rayna? I think he may actually have a crush on Rayna. He's such a jerk. lol

I wonder if Rayna's sister should be in fear for her life now, since she didn't show up at her dad's hearing.

I'm liking Avery more and more, and I like seeing him happy with Scarlett, but I'm really not liking the scared, lonely, sad person they're turning Scarlett into.

It looks like Juliette maybe had an ah-ha moment about Avery being the right person for her. It'll be interesting to see what Avery thinks about it when he meets up with Juliette in Nashville.

I don't want Avery and Juliette together as a couple. I think Juliette needs to have someone in her life that is a GOOD friend who doesn't want anything else from her. I sort of like the idea of them just being close friends.

    Re: Nashville

First off let me say I love this show. I find it so well acted and authentic. We needed a good trashy Dallas like soap and we got it.

Secondly, the characters I love the most have changed. First off:

Juliette -- "I guess nice just ain't my color" just might be the line of the series. She's like Nashville's Cristina Yang but not as well adjusted. Love love love her. I was never a HP fan, but she's won me over. I like her snark. It keeps her interesting.

Will -- Who knew the guy who gave us "Welcome to the OC bitch" could sing? I must admit that my first reason for liking him was him being Luke from The OC. Still, his storyline interests me. I have to wonder if there are a few up and coming young men who are gay but also have Nashville aspirations. In such a conservative Bible loving town (and industry), it has to create quite a bit of turmoil for them. Do they keep quiet and try for a career and hide with beards or be true to who they are and risk losing it all? I'm not always crazy about how he's written, but a guy in his position is bound to harbor a lot of anger and confusion about the situation. I really feel like he's one of the more relevant stories on the show.

Rayna -- Well Mrs. Coach Taylor has been a favorite of mine since Spin City. I've always been a fan. I think the writers have done her some huge disservices but I think they've got it worked out. I'm loving how she's evolving, and Connie can act the phone book and do it well.

Avery -- Another familiar face as Lucky from General Hospital. I see him as very realistic. Last season he was seeing stars and willing to do whatever to get it. Then he saw what the whatever was and he got a rude awakening as to the reality of the business. I think he's not unlike a lot of young wannabes who will do anything for a break. Now that he's had a taste of it, he's not as impressed and is willing to accept more mediocrity over stardom to be happy. I love his growth. Jon Jackson is a great actor as well so I've never had an issue with the actor, and honestly I wasn't too offput about the character. I just thought he was a typical young boy with stars in his eyes.

I'm sure it's obvious that I came to this show because of all the familiar faces whose work I've loved. I also happen to love visits to Nashville and I appreciated the fact that they film there to keep it authentic. It was a little slow at getting its bearings but I think it's only getting better. I hope it sticks around for several years because these people need to work and be seen.

Has anyone looked at spoilers? I haven't. I'm not sure if I want to.

I LOVE the song that Maddy and Deacon performed. I think I'm going to down load it. Great song, IMO. I wish that Teddy had really listened to the words.
