Blowing up is just how Deacon is. He has always blown up when things didn't suit him. He just blows, quits and storms out the door. This time he added the booze. It's who he is, even when he doesn't drink. It's such a turn off for me. Juliette is a lot like that too, as is Gunnar. I think there are too many Nashville characters like that. It's seems like lazy writing to me.

    Re: Nashville

It just hit me since Hayden Panettiere aka Juliette Barnes used to play Sarah Roberts on One Life to Live and Jonathan Jackson aka Avery Barkley used to play Lucky Spencer on General Hospital then if they get together, we will have Tina and Cord's daughter dating Luke and Laura's son! Woohoo!!!

That would mean they are destined to be a super couple since it is in both of their genes.

I have the hardest time finding the Lucky I remember from back then in his face. I even thought maybe he had played the role of Lucky after I stopped watching, but I just looked, and he's the original lucky. Very strange. Can't put the two together at all.

It's baaaaack! I enjoyed last night's episode okay - though not as good for me as some were last season. One question: were the younger Deacon and Rayna played by other actors? I couldn't tell for sure.

And another question is: could anyone tell who the new country star is shown in the preview? (Dark haired, pretty woman.)

Juliette keeps me off balance. I can't stand her, then I feel empathy for her. Looking forward to next week!

So happy for the return, and it was a gooood one!!! I really missed this show. It's must-see TV, for me. I see Rayna's husband's mistress has decided to lose her mind! Gay-boy is nutz; looks like he's going to have an interesting storyline this season. He is not dealing with his reality, at all!

I saw most of it, but also wondered about the flash backs to Rayna and Deacon. I wonder if they used footage of the real people from years ago from other works. Or if they made them look that old, OMG, it's unreal. I liked that part.

It was a little slow, but I hope it gets better when I rewatch.

I don't know about Deacon, but that was the same actress that plays Rayna. I looked pretty hard. She wasn't nearly as "done up", and the scenes were kind of foggy. I think Deacon was the same too. At least I didn't notice him looking like a different actor. I look for those things.

I'm glad it's back too. The show was a bit of a downer last night, but still good. Juliette sure didn't waste any time jumping in the sack with the first new male that she saw. Also, I notice that Avery cleaned himself up quite a bit. He's almost attractive now, and much more tolerable than he was last year.

I still like Scarlett & what's-his-name's singing together. They are quite a good singing pair, much better than either one is individually.

I liked all the new story set-ups too. Looks like an interesting season.

The character name is name is Layla Grant (Ashley Peeples). She is being set up to be Juliette's rival ... to give Juliette a taste of what it feels like to have a younger fresher rival ... sort of a taste of what she gave Rayna.

    ETA: There is more to that storyline out there but I forgot how to post a spoiler so I'm doing it as an edit:}

She is being played as a TV talent show contestant and/or winner so this should all be kind of fun..

    Re: Nashville

One more thing some one asked ... so Scarlet's singing partner's character name is Gunnar.

These people all have such interesting names .... Rayna, Deacon, Gunnar, Avery ... even Juliette. I have nobody in my life with any of those names! I know one Zoey but it's a puppy.
