tonight's synopis: Casey struggles with his new responsibilities; Severide dreads the arsonist's next attack; Mouch starts campaigning; Dawson and Shay decide they need to get out more.
Since I'm on the east coast and have already seen this, I have just two things to say. Gonna post 'em in spoiler form for those on the west coast. Just gotta get this off my chest!
Click to see Spoiler:So the b*tch who went to Spain says she 'had a test done'. WHY? She knew what date she did the deed with Severide, she knew she had a one night stand in Spain, she knew the estimated delivery date . . . . .why do you still need "a test". Way too early to establish paternity if that's what she's getting at. Whatever! Glad she's gone . . . if she really is. Maybe I'll get my wish and she'll give Shay the baby!
Click to see Spoiler:I have a really bad feeling that Benny Severide is the arsonist.
ECM & LSS ... may I ask why you are thinking in the direction of spoiler #2?
I think we can talk now out of spoiler tags ... but just in case:
Click to see Spoiler:Why in the world would Papa S turn on his own son? I know he doesn't like Mills ... but why Severide?
I don't think he's "turning on" his own son. It just diverts attention from him (Benny). . . who would think that a father would do that stuff to his own son. He knows Kelly has enemies, probably much like he did in his day and he's waiting to see who's going to be accused and while they are putting effort into looking for another bad guy, he's free to set more fires without any one be suspicious.
Also, Severide #1 doesn't like the Chief much because of the affair he had with Mrs. Mills. He seems like the kind of guy who always wants to have the last word.
ETA Okay ... I think I see. Maybe Papa B is trying to hurt the chief ... and by directing the arson attacks at his own son ... it definitely takes suspicion off of him.
No matter though ... this ends up really hurting Kelly.
Speaking of the house being on "the short list", when I was watching the scene where the new b*tchy number crunching woman was talking, I kept thinking it would be nice if a house fell on her. Then, in the next scene, a "house" fell on two motorcyclists. Weird.
yeah - and since when would someone be transferred to a house that on a short list?
