I wish they would eliminate like all the game shows that absorb all the network channels prior to 9pm during the week. 9pm is either my bedtime or reading time and that seems to be when all non-gameshows are coming on. I'd probably watch a few more of these if they started putting them on at a different time.
I find myself watching less TV in general or more PBS because of all the marathon game shows on in the evening.
I'm not sure where to put this, but here seems as good as anywhere. Starting tonight at 9/8 on the CW is Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, which was formerly shown only online. Created by Josh Whedon, it stars Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion, Felicia Day, and Simon Helberg. If you like musical spoof and the height of absurdity, this is so worth watching. It's going on my DVR to watch again.
So far none of the new shows have held my interest or stayed on the DVR...I'm hoping Nashville and/or Chicago Fire are keepers.
Looking forward to Nashville because I love Connie Britton,
I thought Chicago Fire was okay, but it felt a bit corny, "rah-rah" about firefighters with the emotional, swelling music. They're firefighters, you don't need to play up the hero aspect that way. It's redundant and felt like pandering. I'll probably watch again and hope they'll tone down the corniness.
Just read that Made in New Jersey was cancelled after two episodes... Watched the first episode and that was enough for me. Right now I am enjoying Revolution, Partners keeps me laughing and I'm not sure if it's cause it's funny or I'm laughing at how bad it is... Also like the 666 show. Looking forward to Nashville tonight. Will be catching that new show Arrow tonight and see how that is. Also will be dvr'ing Chicago Fire.
