(Then again - Fawlty Towers had I believe a total of 12 episodes, and people wanted more, but John Cleese said basically "Thank you but no, I want quality not quantity.")

I'm worried about "Orphan Black" though - I haven't seen anything on it and I think I read somewhere she is in a movie or another TV series now.
I thought Orphan Black was just on for the summer and wraps up this Friday

Orphan Black will be back for season 2 next spring.

Tatiana Maslany is incredibly talented. Shame she didn't get an Emmy nod.

IMO, the show improved in the back half of the season and definitely improved in season 2. The last episode - the penultimate one of the series - gave me goosebumps. With one more episode left, I'm hopeful they'll give viewers some resolution.

I liked Gangs of New York if only for DDL. I'm NOT a DiCaprio fan and Cameron Diaz was horrid. The setting and DDL were worth the price of admission. Comparing Copper to a huge budget movie isn't really fair though. It's sort of apples and oranges.
I really wasn't trying to compare Copper to Gangs of New York. I mentioned it only as one of the more well known examples of the history of NYC and the 5 Points area. My real favorite is the Rutherford book New York -- over 900 pages, but I've read it more than once.

Sorry for the confusion. I do have season 1 Copper available in Netflix streaming, so perhaps I'll take another look at it.

TNT canceled King and Maxwell after one season. Poop. It wasn't the best show on TV, but I enjoyed it.
