The basis for LA Law was written by an attorney who based the characters on real people, and mostly people from a defunct Boston law firm called Fine & Ambrogne. When F&A split up, many of the lawyers and staff joined my firm. Including the person Bernie was based on. I don't know if the real "Bernie" was ever told about that.

Do you mean Bennie? Or is that a character on another show?

I'm disappointed about 24: Legacy, but not surprised. I enjoyed the show. I'm glad they did give it a good ending without a big cliffhanger, but I still wish they would bring it back.

Me too. I tried watching the new 24 and it couldn't keep my attention. The sense of desperate urgency was missing and I couldn't seem to care about the characters.

I looked at it as a totally different show. I'm a HUGE Kiefer fan, so I didn't think I'd like it, but I ended up enjoying it and liking Corey Hawkins in the lead. Plus, you know, Miranda Otto and Jimmy Smits. A little Carlos Bernard didn't hurt either.
