So did the Alcatraz prisoners die and go to Purgatory?

I missed it. I fell asleep.

Have to catch up on what happened.

Did they film this on location--I mean the inside scenes because the shots of the island from the boat is beautiful and certainly looks like they are there. I am feeling bad for those killers who were obviously sent out to kill people for others and now are back in a worse prison. It looks like Jack did nothing more than steal and lost everything. I hope Rebecca and Diego find out that their new boss is evil!!

The line on WP doesn't have references but Wikipedia says "The series is filmed principally in Vancouver, British Columbia."

Ha! I wondered about that. I've lived here all my life and we only wish we could get great thunder and lightning shows like in the opening scenes! San Francisco very rarely gets exciting storms like that. :>(

I watched it and quite enjoyed it although I'm not sure I'm sold on the female lead yet. LOOOOOOOOOOOOVEEEEEE Sam Neill.

I do hope it follows the formula of 1 prisoner per week with continued flashes of the past intermingled with the present, etc.

As an aside - I got to visit Alcatraz when I was a teenager and it was totally creepy.

    Re: Alcatraz

It gripped me from the opening scene, just as Lost did. It's got me curious as to back stories and which characters will turn out to be good, bad, or mixed. Since I don't watch The Bachelor, this was a no-brainer for me and from what I saw last night, I'll continue to watch.

For those who missed any of it, the show will repeat on Saturday night. I plan to watch again for things I know I may have missed.
