    2012 Golden Globe Awards

The red carpet special has started on E! and the NBC one is going to start in about 20 minutes, so I thought I'd get this thread going.

    Is anyone else watching tonight?

I'll be watching! I'm most looking forward to Ricky Gervais. I cannot wait to see who is on his hit list this year.

I LOVE Ricky! I know some people think he goes too far, but I love it. These people are rich, famous and beautiful. Who better to mock? They can take it.

Switching over the NBC red carpet show. Giuliana and Seacrest are like the Inane Twins. Plus WTH is up with Kelly Osborne's hair? Good grief.

Good Lord, the NBC red carpet team is just as bad. One of them just called Octavia Spencer "OcTAHvia." Really?

So far, no one has made any huge fashion mis-steps....aside from Kelly Osborne and that hair.

She has been sporting that grey hair for a little while now and I have to say I dont get it
I can understand wanting a change from blond but blue/grey? It just looks strange
Not a fan of Sarah Michelle Gellars dress but she did let her daughter choose it
    Sofia Vergara looks stunning

    Re: 2012 Golden Globe Awards

I saw a picture of the grey hair a few days ago and her saying something about giving her hair a rest from dying it so much. I can't imagine why you'd want to "rest" on that color. Why not just dye it her natural color for a while? She looks like one of those horrid poodles with lavender hair.

I liked SMG's dress. It didn't look like anyone else's and I thought the fit was flattering.

They could put Sofia Vergara in a paper bag and she'd look stunning! I love her.

Emma Stone looks fab tonight - I love that color on her. I like Julianna Marguiles's dress, but not with those earrings. If she wanted to go with a different color, there were lots of other options.

I'm looking through red carpet pics and I have to say, I'm not a fan of Morena Baccarin's dress. If course, she's so gorgeous that it doesn't matter. Reese Witherspoon's hair is awful - another one who's been dragged through a hedge.

Johnny Depp still hasn't seen The Tourist

Great open from Ricky, although not as caustic as I'd hoped. I think that the celebs know that they need to at least to pretend to think he's funny or they risk looking like big, humorless jerks.

One of the things I love about awards shows is the weird presenter pairings... Gerard Butler and Mila Kunis??

Best Supporting Actor in a Movie is.....(sentimentally hoping for Christopher Plummer - he was so good in Beginners)......

    Christopher Plummer!

Best Actress in a Comedy is....... Laura Dern. Her mother is there with her - she looks fabulous!

Why wasn't Melissa McCarthy nominated!? WTH?

    Re: 2012 Golden Globe Awards

Okay, I'm totally in here by myself

Winner of Best TV Movie or Minseries is Downton Abbey and I'm typing that before they even announce the winner. No way anything else will beat it.

    Yay, I was right!

ETA: Best Actress in a Miniseries or Movie is.....(sadly, probably not Elizabeth McGovern)...... Kate Winslet. Love her, but didn't like Mildred Pierce.
