    Re: Shameless (Showtime)

I read that Emmy Rossum (Fiona) wants to equalize her salary in comparison to Macy. Perhaps even a bit more to make up for lost seasons.

I say she deserves it. Macy may be the big star but Rossum has grown into just as important a role.

p.s. An over-40 friend of ours who lives from paycheck to paycheck says this show always makes him feel great - like he isn't doing so badly after all.

Emmy Rossum also directed at least one episode this season. She is just as central to the show as Macy is at this point IMO. I so want to see her succeed with her investment and become a success. I don't know what else the writers can do with Frank's character now, he's done it all! Health problems, sponging off different women to survive, scams like the cancer concierge and the homeless shelter, etc. What next? With Monica's death Frank seems to have gained entry back into the Gallagher household... we'll see how that plays out!

I expect you'll continue to love it, tapper. It's one of the few DVD sets I have purchased. In some places it is indeed shameless, but overall it has a lot of us feeling so much better about our own lives -- that ol' "It could be worse" syndrome

Besides, Macy is just superb, with some excellent actors who surround him.
