I think you have it there, she always had that I Love Lucy thing going on.. Lucy had great timing, Debra does as well. Or maybe (and sadly in a way) I keep wanting her to be Grace, and in here she is SO NOT. lol

And what was that movie ... The Wedding Date? ... in which she played a woman who hired an escort to be her date at her sister's wedding (and of course they fell in love). She was great in that. She just does comedy really well. Again, I think her talent is wasted playing her role on this show, not that she isn't a good actress, but there aren't that many good actresses who can do comedy as well as she can. I do understand, though, that actors want to play a variety of roles.

I always liked Kat McPhee on Idol, but never really followed her since... I am really enjoying her on this,I think she is a pretty good actress, and I've always loved her voice.

And I was wondering why they showcased her in the number at the bar when they were trying to get her understand the "chorus" role. Except maybe there is a time to be in the back ground, and a time to shine.... you need to know the difference.

I actually enjoyed seeing Nick Jonas on this. I thought he did a good job.
I have to say I was really expecting to like this show.
I'm sorry to say that I'm not enjoying it very much.
I don't know if it's because the plot is so predictable or what. I just thought I'd love this show and I don't.

Before she started singing at the bar her face went kind of loopy and I thought she was going to faint. It was strange.

Is it me, or has Angelica Huston had her face tightened?

I liked the Mr and Mrs Smith song. Overall I've been a bit meh on the Marilyn songs because of my dislike of Marilyn but that was not bad. I've been wondering if they might put on an actual musical in future. I wonder how long the show is going to drag it out. I know Derek said it could take 2-3 years before it was ready for Broadway.

Ivy was acting like such a diva but when her friends pointed out that Kat wasn't playing a background role it made
sense. I stopped watching Idol before her season so my only exposure to her was in House Bunny. She's doing pretty well. I like Megan Hilty as well, however (just not when she's being a total diva).

I think "Spring Awakening" took 7 years to get to Broadway, so 2-3 years would be preferable! I know that Lea Michele was cast in that show when she was 14 and did workshops, but the show didn't premiere on Broadway until she was 20.

I'm not a big Marilyn fan either, so when Ivy goes all breathy in songs, I just roll my eyes. I find that I just don't like Ivy Lynn or Megan Hilty all that much.

I haven't noticed Angelica Huston's face looking tight, but maybe she has had work done. Because her cheekbones are so prominent, she doesn't look bad, like she's had fillers.

I felt the same way until I saw her on Watch What Happens: Live.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

I read an article somewhere in which the producers of this show hinted that they might actually do a Broadway version of the show down the line, but that wouldn't happen until after it's actually occurred on the TV show.

Oh thank goodness someone else said it. Beautiful girl, beautiful voice, but something about her just rubs me the wrong way. I couldn't tell you what exactly, but something sure does.

I'm a Marilyn fan and was thought I'd love, love, love this show, but I'm not. It's just ok for me. I'm not quitting just yet, though. I'll give it a few more weeks because I know some shows take a minute to really find their footing. I'm willing to wait and see.

I do like the character of Dev....Karen's boyfriend. And Angelica's skit where she tosses the wine into her soon to be ex husbands face amuses me. I crack up every time she does it.

I still love the show, but I don't find Ivy Lynn all that appealing, so the competition between her and Karen seems like no contest to me.

I just don't happen to think Megan Hilty is all that good looking, especially when she's in the full Marilyn costume. Maybe it's that her face just can't take that much makeup. I think Kat is much more beautiful in the blonde wig and MM makeup than Megan. More natural hair and makeup is just more flattering for Megan.
