Re: Smash (NBC- Mondays 10/9 C)
I feel like it's been a very rapid transition for Tom's assistant. To go from annoying to devilish so quickly seems like such a stretch. It also kind of felt like they put him with his girlfriend as a way to prove some type of point? I don't know, but it all feels forced to me.
Re: Smash (NBC- Mondays 10/9 C)
Where I live Smash is also being rerun on Sat. night, which is helping solve my viewing conflicts. Don't know how long that will continue, but I notice they often do that with a new show they want to support.

I've always thought he was sleazy and out for himself so, for me, it wasn't a rapid transition. I think he's a little conniving opportunist.

Agree that he's been a weasel from the beginning. He made it seem so innocent that the first song got posted on the internet after he sent it to his mother, but that always seemed a little fishy to me. Even if he didn't have bad intentions, he's still a snoop and not to be trusted. And since Debra Messing's character clearly doesn't trust him, why, oh, why didn't she check to see if he was around before revealing her little secret to Tom. Pretty dumb move on her part especially after she's already caught him lurking around before.
Re: Smash (NBC- Mondays 10/9 C)
Just watched the latest episode on the Sat. reshowing and I missed one crucial bit of info having to get the front door. When the "star" who was asked to be in the chorus told her waitress friend about that, the waitress friend said something like, oh, didn't you know being in the chorus of workshop (or whatever it is called) means.... and that's what I missed. What does it mean? Thanks!
And yes, I thought Debra was being unnecessarily mean to the gofer kid, but apparently she'd spotted him as a sleazeball...

Long odd hours and very little pay.
Re: Smash (NBC- Mondays 10/9 C)
I find I'm paying attention to the original musical numbers but the plotlines outside of the musical itself are just so much white noise, because they're so cliche. I also have a hard time with believing that Megan Hilty wouldn't have been cast as Marilyn whether she'd slept with the director or not. Her voice just screams musical theater to me. I really hate that they put her in the position of having slept her way to the part. Why not just let her have it? If they have to go with cliches, why not All About Eve instead of 42nd Street?

Thank you, FireWoman, and you're welcome, Fanny Mare. I hope the audience for Sat. gets counted when they decide whether or not to keep a show. :)
I still like the suggestion above that the brown haired girl do the earlier Marilyn and the blonde the star Marilyn..... Enjoyed a little country music break during her visit home! She did a good job with that.

They also have started looking at DVR and OnDemand numbers. That's what saved Parenthood a while back.
I've read several articles saying that tomorrow night's episode is REALLY good. Can't wait!
