I watched the final episode. I watched a bunch of the episodes last season too when it started. Katherine never grew on me. Then I was kind of over bombshell and Marilyn Monroe. And then I had a real hard time liking Ivy that first season. I think it had a ton of potential that they just kind of piddled away though.

One good thing about Smash is that it introduced me to Megan Hilty. I think she's great. She's performing in concerts this summer. If they were closer to me, I would go.

Here's a link of the details.

Megan Hilty performed as part of a number on the Tony's last night. It was about Broadway actors who had tv shows that were cancelled! She's not the only one. It was pretty funny! That award show really revealed just how great Broadway is. To think that Smash didn't capture that, but just crapped on it, is so disappointing.

Did the writers of Smash really understand Broadway or have any experience with it? Just curious.

Oh, Julia, from Smash was also in the audience. So was sitting with this other actor who played in season one. It seems he was actually nominated this year for something he did on Broadway.

It is really a shame that someone didn't jump in and rescue this show.

I just read that Megan Hilty has been cast as a regular on Sean Hayes new fall show, Sean Saves the World. I enjoyed her on the Tony Awards show and I'm happy to see her get more tv work.

Great news! It looks like a fun show. Love Sean Hayes and Linda Lavin!

Television must pay much better than theater work.
