Loved Amanda as Farrah. I like how she knows that Cricket's husband is gay.

I enjoy this show - very campy - sorta like when Desperate Housewives first started - very over the top. But I like it.
Same here! very OTT but funny! Amanda looked great as Farrah. Part of my enjoyable Sunday viewing

This show has become my guilty pleasure. As long as it is taken for the campy fun that it is, it is a great show. I think some detractors of the show are reading too much into it and looking for moral lessons. I just do away with all that and enjoy the ridiculousness of it all.

Loved the whole part where GiGi was talking about praying and BFF's and God working in mysterious ways and the woman is choking in the background! There are so many little hidden gems in this show. As long as I can look over the horrible acting by the Amanda actress, I can keep enjoying this show. I wonder if they could get away with a recast? She makes the character so one-note because of her inability to breath any life into a scene or even emote.

I also found the whole thing between Cricket, Blake, and Amanda interesting. And anybody else think that at some point the "nice" brunette is going to have her boyfriend stolen away by Amanda but of course Amanda is innocent? I keep waiting for that to happen.

I haven't been a fan of the Amanda character until last night. At the end when she bowed out of the jeans project rather than come between Cricket & Blake, it showed growth & compassion rather than spite or one-upmanship. I liked that.

I love this show and had a few LOL moments last night. Kristen Chenoweth is hilarious. When she talked about the 'subversive books', I immediately thought she caught her son buying porn, only to find out it was Harry Potter books...but then she finds him later on the couch with his computer, looking at "subversive material".

Campy is the exact word for it. Just an hour's worth of good plain entertainment. It was great fun for me to see Donna Mills; she plays such a great villainess. Anyone remember when she first started out ;playing a nun on a late 60's soap called, "Love is a Many Splendored Thing?" She didn't stay a nun for long, if I recall. There were a lot of good actors on that show including Paul Michael Glaser and a bit part for Susan Lucci.

What did you think of the book? Do you agree with the negative comments?
I just finished the book Sunday.. Started it weeks ago, and stopped at like page 20.. Picked it back up this weekend. It's a VERY easy read. However not well written, almost pedestrian in fact. Almost like some was was walking thru this weird little town and made a few musings and tossed a big word in now and then to sound important

Re: GCB (Good Christian Belles) on ABC - premieres Sun Mar. 4th

I'm loving this show! I was at first sceptical when it was being advertized, prior to airing, as the "new Desperate Housewives", but after watching it, I love it. I am so tired of the emphasis on Christianity during the current political primaries. I was raised Catholic, but have over my 66 years looked at many other religions and just can't put my faith in books written in the Bronze Ages over modern science, as all the major religions (with the exception of The Book of Morman) have been. I know I'm in the minority, but not believing in organized religion doesn't mean I don't believe in life after death and I do consider myself a spiritual person. I think that Christianity is being presented in GCB in a favorable way, yet as an imperfect and sometimes hypocritical way because we are all human and imperfect and no major religion has all the answers. I feel that "do unto others...." is all the religion I need. (I might prefer Buddhism if I had to pick a religion, because as far as I know they aren't inclined to start wars to advance their beliefs.) But look at how smart that pastor was to have the couple change places for a week. It made the husband appreciate how much his wife brings to the relationship that he never noticed or appreciated. And it made the wife understand that she is capable of so much more than she thought she was. I think the show hits a fair balance, religionwise. But, heck I'm a San Francisco liberal. I don't know how Evangical Fundamentalist Christians would feel about it. And I hope that no one who reads this takes it at a criticism of their own religious beliefs. I respect anyone for their own beliefs, even if there is a large percentage of my countrymen who believe I'm going to he11. It's OK. I don't believe in he11! :>)

I started reading the book after episode 1. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I wasn't busy comparing it to the TV show since nothing is the same. I really love the show.
That was a great message! And I've had a terrible day, so thank you.I love random acts of kindness.Really, realy appreciated.Scott- RIP SDL<3

My son attends a private Christian school and I was talking to one of the teachers about The Hunger Games and how it surprised me that the groups that were so opposed to Harry Potter are not saying a word about these books. The response "Yeah, but it is Harry Potter". I was stunned and barely managed to suppress the laughter and then this show, this awesome show, references Harry Potter. I was laughing my butt off over that one.
