Now, I still like Monroe with Rosalee. I absolutely loved the bad clock jokes!

I think Nick gets pale because of some lingering effect of that zombie thing. He has some crazy good hearing now but only in certain moments. He still has the lowest pulse the doctor has seen. I think we will eventually get an episode that explains it all and puts him back to normal.

Could be that it is more of a genetic think that makes a Grimm a Grimm and that Nick is just a more true throwback.

His heightened hearing comes from fighting a spider wesen in the first season; then being a zombie pushed him even farther. I don't think it's strictly from being a Grimm, but those two experiences brought those attributes to the forefront.

Or, as it usually turns out, whether we are talking IQ or athletic ability, it's a combination of environment (spider and zombie bites) and genetics (Grimm sensitivity to spider and zombie bites)...

I goofed - it was a fly wesen, not a spider wesen. But, yes, I guess that his Gimmness could have amped his reactions to both situations.

    January 3, 2014 - episode 309 - Red Menace

Kinda fun episode and the start of a new battered wive story arc.

Won't Juliette be surprised when she discovers her friend is wesen like Rosalee (I was waiting for them to meet and no Rosalee this episode) and the husband is a mean one.

It was slightly confusing with the continent jumps at the start of the show, but I like that the captain confronted 'what's her face' about the baby.

I'm glad they reviewed that it could be the baby of either brother... I wasn't clear about that, thought it was the captain's definitely.
