Re: Once Upon A Time ABC

I agree with what all of you have said with regard to Robin Hood, and I hesitated to post that as an option. But there appeared to be a lot of talk about it - as far as finding fictional characters that were major players. The only other one I saw was Jack and the Beanstalk, but that one didn't seem to fit at all, given what we know about him. I was originally leaning toward him being the huntsman or the woodcutter from RRH. Now, I'm not sure. The part that confuses me - does Henry think he is a fairy tale character? He seems to know who everyone is - if the sheriff is just a normal, fairy tale character, why does Henry not know which one?

Could someone who is really clever start a list of characters and their fairy tale counterparts??

We got the EQ, Rumpie, Red Riding Hood, a couple of dwarves. Did we get anything from the doctor taking care of PC??

Re: Once Upon A Time ABC

Maybe Henry can't figure it out either re: the Sheriff's fairytale identity. Or maybe Henry knows but he is fixated on Snow/Mary, David/Prince Charming and the Queen/Mayor right now so hasn't had need to speak of him.

I read speculation that Storybrooke's doctor is connected to Pinocchio's tale because his last name is Whale. I don't recall much of Pinocchio's story, however - I don't even recall a whale.

My cleverness is in dispute but I'll start the list:

Evil Queen - Regina the mayor
    ? - Sherrif Graham
    Rumplestiltskin -Mr Gold
    Snow White -Mary Margaret Blanchard
Prince Charming aka James -David Nolan
Jiminy Cricket - ? The psychiatrist
Granny from Little Red Riding Hood - Granny, the innkeeper
    Little Red Riding Hood -Ruby
Sleepy - ? The security guard at the hospital
Grumpy - Leroy, the janitor at the hospital

Similar to Lost a lot of the Storybrooke names have meaning, in this case they tie back to the fairytale names ie
    Regina -queen
Mary Margaret Blanchard - Mary, the mother of the Savior (Emma being the Savior in this instance), Blanchard - White
Ruby - keeping with the red theme
Mr Gold -spinning straw into gold

Doc - ? but he is doctor at the hospital
    Gepetto -Marco Town Handy Man
Sleepy - Walter The security guard at the hospital
Magic Mirror - Sydney works for the paper
Grumpy - Leroy, the janitor at the hospital
Blind Witch/Ms. Ginger (Hansel and Gretel)

Similar to Lost a lot of the Storybrooke names have meaning, in this case they tie back to the fairytale names ie

Also, for next week's episode, plus I stuck Emma in:

Evil Queen - Regina the mayor
    ? - Sherrif Graham
    Rumplestiltskin -Mr Gold
    Snow White -Mary Margaret Blanchard
Prince Charming aka James -David Nolan
    Emma - Emma Swan

    Little Red Riding Hood –Ruby
Doc - ? but he is doctor at the hospital
    Gepetto -Marco Town Handy Man
Sleepy - Walter The security guard at the hospital
Magic Mirror - Sydney works for the paper
Grumpy - Leroy, the janitor at the hospital
Blind Witch/Ms. Ginger (Hansel and Gretel)
    Cinderella-Ashley

Similar to Lost a lot of the Storybrooke names have meaning, in this case they tie back to the fairytale names ie
    Regina -queen
Sydney, name not an issue as much as he works for "The Daily Mirror"
Mary Margaret Blanchard - Mary, the mother of the Savior (Emma being the Savior in this instance), Blanchard - White
Ruby - keeping with the red theme
Mr Gold -spinning straw into gold
Dr. Hopper, crickets they hop I guess
Ms Ginger - the witch from Hansel and Gretel lives in a gingerbread house (thanks to the person upthread who pointed out this connection)
    Ashley - ashes = cinders = Cinderella

When this show initially started, some people said they didn't like Ginnifer Goodwin. Now I see why:

She is much cuter with longer hair. I did notice that they softened that "bowl" haircut of the first episode ...that was hideous

Oh I like her its just that severe hair cut that is all wrong for her..especially with ears that poke out like that..lol...if I had ears like that I would want them covered up...she looked much softer with snow's hair

in fact I liked when Margie (her character on Big Love) when through the blond stage..I thought it looked good on her

I like that her ears poke out... I always like when people don't try to hide their ears because there's nothing wrong with them. I like her ears poking out too on the show because it kind of reminds me of a fairy tale.
