Yeap it was covered in the pilot that what happens in Terra Nova does not effect 2149 because Terra Nova was on a different timeline.

Thanks. I must have missed that. It's nice to know the show isn't being written by idiots.
It's pretty sad to think I get my scientific knowledge from Marty McFly & Doc Brown. LOL

I can't say I'm terribly surprised. The writing really took a bad turn.

I just saw this on ew.com. I'm going to miss it and want to know about the badlands. I hope another network picks it up.

I'll miss it. It was easy watching in a convenient time slot. Isn't Alcatraz what took its place? A far superior show but so violent! Harder to get to sleep.

    Re: Terra Nova

I liked Terra Nova! I just thought it was a strange format for television. Every time I watched it, I felt like I was watching a movie. Perhaps it would have been better if it had been released as a movie, with a finite beginning and ending, instead of stringing it out as a series. They seem to be repeating the same circumstances a lot (the Sixers fighting the people at Terra Nova, the main dude and the leader of the Sixers having a confrontation and then working it out, etc)

The main thing I didn't like about the show was the scientist wife (it's been so long since I've seen an episode, I can't remember the characters' names. Sorry!). She never did grow on me. Can't say I cared much for their oldest daughter, either.
