I liked this episode, there was a lot of humor with the killing!

I agree it was a different, but very enjoyable episode. I just like this show period even if I do still miss Carter.

    Re: Person of Interest

While it is very current to use a group like Vigilance (the privacy terrorists) to focus on a current cultural event I recently saw a clip on either Dateline or 60 minutes which basically said that while the government does gather info on its citizens and this has many people very concerned there are companies now that sell info about their customers to big data mining companies that actually have more info than what the government gathers and does sell that information to whomever and no one is monitoring them or trying to create legislation to control what they are doing.

In regards to the government data gathering, there is talk to put all that info into storage and to have that data monitored and guarded by private contractor. OK, that is more taxpayer money that goes to the contractor and yeah, they are really going to protect it. Sure they will hire folks to guard it but most of that contract money goes into pure profit for the company and not to guard the info. After all McMansions cost and so do vacations to the islands.

    Re: Person of Interest

Person of Interest began in the fall of 2011 and I loved it from day one. It seems to have paved the way for other shows of this type, which is fine, but I don't enjoy it as much as I did the first season. Somehow, the addition of the two women (especially Root) spoiled the show for me. I'm not fond of either of them! However, I do understand why TPTB moved forward with new characters. It's all about keeping a show fresh to have viewers return week after week, I guess.

As I'm reading your post, all I can think about is Criminal Minds and how Garcia is able to pull up anything and everything about an unsubs past/present. As scarey as it is to believe that "we are being watched", it really is the world we live in.

    Re: Person of Interest

when john was in jail in season 2, agent donnely was pulling up everything he was saying instantly on the fbi computer

w2's, birth certificates, death certificates, newspaper articles, etc

there was also episodes where finch said he invented social networks because people were all too WILLING to give up their personal info

the first episode this season where collier appeared was an episode on this dude that ran a data gathering company and he gave one of the dudes a gift (baby rattle) saying that his grocery store super shopper discount card showed his alcohol consumption/purchases went down over the last few months and milk purchases or something went up and it deduced that the dude and his wife was expecting

so they pretty much show alot of examples of how personal information is gathered on people

btw, you all do know that the nsa can watch YOU on your webcams on you laptop, tv cams, etc w/o you even turning them on.

    Re: Person of Interest

    cool episode

even with a couple of stumbles during the 2nd half of the season POI always delivers

the level of care and respect that Reese has for Finch is incredible...if it was anyone else you think John wouldnt have pulled the trigger (and killing a worthless politician at that)... even Shaw said something like "ever since she got with them she kinda likes helping people" lol

2 people that were assasins for the government..smh

sucks that Finch is now the #1 target after letting that dude live

i was worried there for a minute when Shaw got shot, and the last scene with the music and everything was perfect

THIS is what a GOOD 44min drama looks like... ahem

Not sure how I feel about the episode .... just hope the machine can save Finch.

There is no episode next week we have to wait until April 29 to see what happens.

There are 3 more episodes with the season finale on May 13,2014.

Saw a preview of this week's episode while watching Once Upon A Time. Luv'ed the smile on Reese's face. You know bad guys always underestimate the good guys thinking that they just won't go there, go over the line, do the deed. Well, Harold is made of sterner stuff.
