Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
-- Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759
If my dogs had a squeeky toy like that I would be doing the same thing Finch did - remove the squeek.
John and Zoe and Bear in the Burbs.
Best scene John eating the doughnut after Bear had licked it.
Next best scene The Machine matchmaking Finch.
No goat killers on my island.
I wasn't sure about the donuts. I thought perhaps they were dog treats disguised as donuts and that's why John thought they weren't tasty.
I liked Harold's throwaway comment "you want that out of petty cash?" when John laid down the traffic ticket (do I assume no issue with whatever identification he had to show?)
Was Grace the woman we saw many episodes ago that he was involved in but then had to hide from?
Women are Angels.
And when someone breaks our wings, we simply continue to fly...usually on a broomstick.
We are flexible like that.
I've watched "Zoe" since she was on a soap playing a teen... she's really gotten good. In the last few years she's played a lot of these tough women, really like her as an intelligent woman who isn't a helpless little thing.
I agree I also wondered about him and Carter. Not sure Carter would want John around her son as a surrogate dad though...
No particularly memorable scenes or dialogue for me last evening. Didn't much care for the plot either. Do they have different writers for different episodes?
