I'm very curious how long it will take to rescue Finch. The main reason why I don't want it to take too long is because of the anguish on Reese's face! I can feel it in my stomach. I just love the bond these two have. Reese is a great character. He's so protective and loyal, like a mother bear. And speaking of bear - another side to Reese I just love. His soft side. He didn't like the name Butcher for the dog and named it Bear instead. He makes me melt.
Just finished watching episode 2 - 10/4/12
Luv'd it. This was a very smart episode you found out about Root yet there was a twist. Carter and Fusco having a drink after work was priceless as was Bear eating one of Mr. Finch's first edition books. Liked Fusco working with Bear. It was all Carter and John figuring out what needed to happen. Normally, there are stronger subplots in a show and you just bear with it to get to the good parts but in this episode all the subplots were good, entertaining in their own right and still propelling the story along. Absolutely brilliant.
I couldn't agree more. I fell in love with this show from its first episode and it hasn't faltered for me yet. If there is one thing I will love J.J. Abrams for, and there are many, it would be finding Michael Emerson in the theater and bringing him on to our home screens. That's just what the British do and it's part of the reason there is so much great British tv.Quote:

I also loved the twist when we found out that Root wasn't Hanna, but Sam. And so much more made sense. I figured at first that she had the librarian's husband killed off to cover her tracks about the bank account, but now it looks like it was payback since he was the last one to be seen with her friend, and most likely her killer.
Happy to see Bear has a permanent home!!!! Finch needs somebody like him.
Have never posted on this thread, but glad to see others love this show as much as I do. Before I watched the very first episode I didn't expect that I would like it and boy was I wrong. You have all said all there is to say about this last episode and I just cheered when Reese made it to the station on time to finally save Finch. I agree Finch and Bear are going to love each other. They have the same tastes in books. :laugh
I missed just a tiny bit of the show at the end, when you found out that the missing girl was not Root...but the missing girl looked a lot more like the adult Root than the little blonde girl did. Or am I mixed up as to which girl went missing?
And I saw her type Root on the screen, but I still don't get why she calls herself that...is it some computer thing? Thanks!
Loved Bear and loved Carter and Fusco having the drink...and really all about the Finch/Reese relationship. Excellent actors in this series.

The blond girl was Root. The dark-haired girl who was missing (murdered) was Root's friend but no one would listen to girl Root what happened to her friend. One of the last scenes was Root calling Reese to thank him that her friend (dug up from the librarian's backyard) was finally given a decent burial. Same scene of Finch learning that Bear, who is now living in Finch's library, has a "taste" for 1st editions, LOL. (Not clear to me why a billionaire would be so concerned about that, provided the dewey decimal number is still decipherable.)Quote:
