I also didn't like the way last week's promo deliberately deceived us. They showed the Bridget/Siobhan slap scene & indicated the truth came out. Come to find out it was just a flashback.
Also, I missed a bit toward the end. Who's child was that & how did he die, & what did the father have to do with it & what did the father have to do with the non-mother twin?

You walk out of the room for just a moment & everything goes crazy.

The child was Shioban's son (prior to marrying Andrew). She didn't want the dad to have anything to do with the boy. He convinced Bridget to let him take the two out. On the way home they were hit by a truck (a driver fell asleep). Adam died.
Shioban blamed Bridget for his death and that was the beginning of their estrangement.

And the beginning of Bridgett's addiction.

Wow, I missed a lot of explanation in just a few minutes. You'd swear I fell asleep or something.
    Thank you all.

    Wasn't her son/nephew named Sean?

You are correct! I don't know why I wrote Adam.

Doesn't it seem like the story is really speeding up--it's seriously getting a bit crazy! I don't mind but I hope it's not because they have to wrap things up in one season...

Last night's episode was awesome! But if Ian lays one finger on Marcus, I will go nuts. I hope they bring the limo driver back soon too. I really like him working with Bridget on investigating. I hope they don't cancel this show!
