Canadian TV used to have a pretty bad rep as far as entertainment value goes but this one is able to crossover into US audiences.

I would agree that some did, but Degrassi has always had high marks from our US counterparts. Flashpoint didn't do too poorly either!

How did the Red Green show and Corner Gas do?

I grew up in the 70s with only a few channels and I remember going to a friend's house and seeing Price is Right after years of watching Definition and thinking people won sewing machines and it was a big deal

I still watch Degrassi and I'm 42 years old... I can't help myself!

CG didn't do as well but they both did decently.

Nick and Andie...it's all I never knew I wanted. Then they have to have the romance be totally just for show for the undercover mission. Bah.
I knew that Swarek would be with that new cop when she first showed up on the screen...and Andie can't really complain as she took off for six months so...Her awkward scenes with him were cute, though. I do like her with Swarek (yes, even though I was into the idea of her and Nick) and I don't think they're totally kaput yet.
I hope Noelle returns at some point.

I so so so enjoy this show. I enjoyed Andie and Nick way more than I thought I would. Though, darn boy, Swarek was looking good!

I think it will be a fun season ahead!

There is no way he didn't know she was undercover. He should have waited it out if he really loved her. The other cop is just bitchy looking enough to make me dislike her, too.

He is so freaking good looking, though I may forgive him. It plays at 10 here so I have to tape it and make it my Friday evening viewing.

    Re: Rookie Blue

It should be Andie off having a good time with Nick! IIRC, Swarek was being a real ass to her and the night he decided to mend things was the night she was called off to go undercover. He certainly has no reason to be angry with her. I am not really all that certain that he does/did love her.
