Re: New TV shows for Fall 2011
Which is the show starring Maria Bello playing a tough-talking, gum-chewing, hat-wearing detective? Can't tell from the previews whether it might be any good or just another tough-talking female detective show. I like her, though.
Re: New TV shows for Fall 2011
^ Prime Suspect. It is a remake of the British show that starred Helen Mirren.

I like Mario Bello, but she's no Helen Mirren.
I'll watch a few of the new shows, but I try not to get too attached. The ones I like always get cancelled. The networks get so "cancel happy" that I half expect to hear that a show has been cancelled before it even airs.
Re: New TV shows for Fall 2011
Judging by the titles of those shows and the brief preview clips I've seen of some of them already, looks like one hell of a boring upcoming TV season.

Thanks, CCL. I guess I'll watch it once or twice and give it a try. Nothing really grabs me from the list, either. I'd like to see what Suburgatory is all about. It could either be good or really really bad!
Re: New TV shows for Fall 2011
I don’t normally watch scripted shows, but there are some on this list I plan on checking out at least once or twice:
Pan Am
The X-Factor
The Secret Circle
Once Upon a Time
Grimm
Dancing With the Stars
New Girl (maybe….not really my thing but my family loved My Boys and it looks to be in that vibe)
And for the first season ever, I’m skipping America’s Next Top Model.
I’m adding some new ones on TLC that I plan on watching, I didn’t see them on the list.
Big Hair Alaska (TLC – September 20th)
This special goes inside a busy hair salon is Wasilla, AK, where the personalities of the owner and her staff are as big as the hairstyles they create.
DC Cupcakes (TLC – September 28th )
Katherine's Wedding: TLC joins Katherine Kallinis - coowner of Georgetown Cupcake bakery, featured on the series DC Cupcakes - as she plans for the sweetest day of her life: her wedding.
Pink Pastry (TLC – November 4th)
Enter a world where every little girl becomes a fabulous princess for the day in this new series that follows baker and party planner Tiffany Young and her team as they whip the successful Atlanta's Pink Pastry Parlor to new peaks.
Toddlers & Tiaras (TLC – November 30th)
Re: New TV shows for Fall 2011
In addition to the returning shows - Castle, NCIS:LA, Body of Proof, Harry's Law, The Mentalist, Blue Bloods, & The Good Wife, I plan to watch the debuts of Revenge, Person of Interest, & Prime Suspect. Who knows which, if any, of these shows I'll still be watching (or will still be on air!) by the holidays!
Re: New TV shows for Fall 2011
There are very few of the new shows that seem interesting to me.
Person of Interest
Revenge
That time travel thing with the family going waaaaay into the past.
I'm getting really fed up with the oversaturization of promo ads for them.
Revenge is one of them. I'm getting sick of it already.
Another is PanAm. I thought it would be interesting untill the whole "hookers in the air" vibe of the ads. C'mon, that's degrading to the real, original stewardesses & just serves to reinforce an ugly stereotype. I have no intention of subjecting myself to that.
The comedies just don't seem like they'll be funny either.
