    Re: Dallas (2012 TV series)

I finally caught up with the last four episodes and they were good ones! The entire season was good and yes I was sad when hearing JR's final letter to Bobby explaining it all

    I'm very optimistic about a S3

Almost forgot--the portrait of JR they had hanging on the wall. It reminded me of the one they put up after Jock died on the old show. Very touching.
It reminded me of Jock's portrait, too. I think they should have both of them hanging, in the Ewing offices, side by side. (I realize the original portrait of Jock is no longer available but I'm sure another one can be easily recreated.)

For some reason I thought the ratings were very good and am sad to hear I was wrong. Hmmm.... I love this show and wants to see season three! The summer repeats (if they occur) need to be hyped to attract new viewers.

    Officially renewed!

Dallas Renewed for Season 3: When Is It Back?

    Matt Webb Mitovich

Dallas Renewed for Season 3Putting to rest much anxiety amongst the serial’s fans, TNT on Tuesday announced that Dallas will in fact return for Season 3.

The news comes more than two weeks after the show’s Season 2 finale.

“Dallas has built a passionately loyal following with its expertly woven storylines, clever twists and turns, and numerous outstanding performances by a cast that spans generations,” TNT/TBS/TCM president Michael Wright said in a statement. “Although we said goodbye to Larry Hagman and his iconic character J.R. Ewing this year, Dallas has many more stories left to tell, and the Ewing clan will continue to honor J.R.’s memory by keeping its audience surprised and delighted.”

Dallas‘ double-episode Season 2 finale averaged 2.9 million total viewers and about a 0.9 demo rating, rising 30 and 20 percent from the week prior and on par with its season opener. TVLine readers gave the episode an average grade of “A-.”

The 15-episode Season 3 is slated to launch in early 2014.

On a side note, has anyone noticed that Josh Henderson, the actor who plays John Ross, actually has two different coloured eyes, a green one and a blue one? I noticed it just last week. The only other person I've ever heard of with two different coloured eyes was David Bowie. Anyway..interesting.
Kate Bosworth has heterochromia too. She has (I think) a brown eye and a blue eye. I think the blue-brown combo is more noticeable than a blue-green one.

I'm excited to see where they take the show next season. I didn't think I'd be interested in watching after Larry Hagman died, but I've enjoyed the episodes since his passing.

    Miss this show so much.

I was just thinking about it yesterday as my Son was flying from LAX to NOLA for the weekend and had a layover in Dallas and called to chat.

Immediately it made me think of THIS show.
