The blood trail was left by the girl found in the vet's office - not Callie. Nobody knows where Callie is yet, and Holder thinks she's dead going by what he told Bullet at the end.

Mom is a loser, but I don't think she killed her daughter. Her creepy boyfriend (Joe?) can't be the killer, too obvious. But why would he have Callie's phone?

They kinda spoil the ending somewhat of the previous episode when they show Callie's mom at the police station during the preview of the next episode.

I must have missed that preview, however, I don't trust much of what they show.

Sarah doesn't wear her sweater this season. Instead she's wearing a t-shirt that says ` I wonder why people are so obsessed with my jumper?' Holder has a t-shirt on, too. It says `If we were TV characters living in San Diego would some viewers be irritated because it was sunny everyday?'

Yes. English is his second language. Huge movie star in Sweden. I've seen all of his movies. Cool fact: because he is now getting major roles in America he could have walked away from The Killing last year. He not only chose to stay he was very emphatic about defending the show and in expressing his loyalty to his fellow cast mates, the writers and so forth. I think maybe why I have an easier time embracing the style of the show is because it is very Scandinavian. Our movies and tv , wjen serious, are quite bleak and dark. Joel is such a good actor.

Now it looks like the focus is going to be on the youth pastor (Mike, I think?), but creepy Joe is still out there and I'd like an explanation as to why he had Callie's cell phone....

There were more cigarettes bummed on this show than I've ever seen...when Holder bummed one off the guy in the wheelchair he called "vintage player," I cracked up.

What annoys me about the show is that we know the leads they have right now are not leading to the real killer. We will see them go down endless dead end roads or innocent suspects. Only the last few minutes of the season will lead to the true killer. That's what is so predictible. Even an avid viewer isn't given sufficient evidence to draw conclusions. It will all be kept to the very end with an unlikely killer that we could never have seen any evidence about. It makes the weekly epsiodes seem like a waste of time. Why not wait and just watch the finale? lol

Dead ends are a part of any investigation, but most crime stories will have some true hints that a sharp viewer could see, even when the detectives are making mistakes and don't see them. It's difficult for me to believe that the writer of this show was the writer for the former tv series Cold Case. I loved those shows. This one, not so much.

I think the pastor is a red herring. I'm getting a weird vibe from the boss Skinner, the one Linden had an affair with. I think it's a possibility he is the killer, or if not him, someone else in law enforcement. The whole putting the girls in the back so they can look at them in the rear view mirror could be a police thing. He was on the case when Ray was arrested for the murder, he could have tainted the evidence. I don't know anything other than it's just a feeling.

Excellent observation! That's a good theory. I have thought he was sketchy from the start. That other cop is odd too. The one that Linden keeps putting in his place. He has a bad attitude and I would put nothing past him.

    Re: The Killing (AMC)

What I have picked up on so far:

    Reddick
Does everything possible not to work on - much less solve - the case...including letting the girl "escape" on his watch

    Pastor
Creepy religous savior stuff + related tattoo. The girl was saying something like the man would make the young kids see the light...or something like that.

    Joe
    Kallie's phone + porn.

    Vet guy
Has medical experience which they've referenced in terms of how the girls have been killed in the past.

    The cabbie pimp
Weilded a knife with a serrated blade when he attacked bullet which is the type of instrument the killer used. Also went on some rant about girls getting what they deserve.

Twitch's parole officer (man...he was gross)
Went on a rant about how young kids don't appreciate what they have and that they have to learn a lesson.

    Kallie's mom
    Not physically strong enough.

    Skinner
Skinner said the criminal would be caught with old fashioned police work - not psychological profile mumbo jumbo, but last night, Holder basically said that maybe they were looking at things incorrectly. Rather than look at what the girls see, they should look at what the killer might be seeing. In other words, try to understand the killer's mind.

    Skinner's wife
hmm....I'm betting on her only because we have nothing on her yet!

Prison guard who doesn't like Seward
His wife said he's gone nights and she sleeps alone. Does he work that shift and if not, where does he go?

    Bumbling compassionate prison guard
tbd...we don't have anything on him yet

    Seward's dad
Got Seward a razor blade from inside. He has help on the inside - and possibly the outside. Who could that be? He said he was proud of Seward for going out with closed lips...or something like that. Who is Seward trying to protect?

    Seward
Purported to have killed his wife; unlikely if Linden is to be believed. Said he doesn't have a father. The young boy wants to see him. Why would he want to do that if he witnessed him killing his mom? he knows who Seward is protecting.
