If you get a wedding invitation on GOT I think it's good idea NOT to go.

Maybe they'll reveal more next week, but it seems like they did change things up with the wedding a bit. Now viewers are going to be wondering why fans of the books called this the Purple Wedding.

Ser Dontos I can't wait for Sansa's storyline this season.

I'll be curious to see if Shae is really gone.

I loved the scene between Jaime and Tyrion. We haven't seen them together for a LONG time. Such genuine affection between those brothers. Fun scene with Bronn as Jaime's sparring partner, although

the solution in the book made more sense since Ilyn Payne really CAN'T tell anyone, well, anything.

I think the producers have enough book material to last them until book 6 comes out (unless GRRM is SUPER slow. Again), but I'm really worried about book 7.

Pod gawking at the contortionist I love that kid.

ETA: I'm pretty sure that was Jack Gleeson singing "The Rains of Castamere" over the closing credits. I'm going to have to search around and see if I'm right.

I don't think I've ever been so happy to see a character die a horrible death. While Joffrey was being a miserable little bastard at his wedding, I was actually thinking to myself that I need to get started on those books just to find out if the little twerp gets killed, because he was unbearable last night. And yes, the makeup people did a fantastic job. Gruesome, just the way he deserved. I just hope Tyrion doesn't take the fall for poisoning the little turd...I"m sure there's a long list of people who would have liked to!

I'll have to rewatch this one later this week.

Critical, please share if it is was him!! I told my husband it was a very haunting rendition (okay, every rendition now is because it means death)

What a FANTASTIC death scene. Not (just) because Joffrey was getting his, but it was incredibly and beautifully acted, the effects were great (his right eye looking the other way and dilated...wow) I knew it was coming, but was shocked it was second episode coming. Apparently I started getting really fidgety during the wedding start, but hubby sure didn't expect it to be Joffrey!

GREAT episode, probably because George wrote it and we got it exactly the way he wanted it.

I'll be disappointed if they don't follow the books on that storyline.

Shae's betrayal is one of the things that leads to Tywin's end. I actually haven't liked the changes they've made to Shae in the series. I'd prefer her to be more of an opportunistic character than one who is genuinely in love with Tyrion. It's more interesting that way.

    Agree!

Besides, opportunistic is easier to believe in the GoT universe than true love - especially in King's Landing, LOL!

it was Sigur Rós, to add to the wedding scene cameo.

I saw that later when I hunted around. SO close to wait I think Jack's singing voice would be like.

Jaime, really? What was with the rapecest right next to your dead nephew/son? Gah. That was beyond skeevy. As is Littlefinger...I don't know if he's got a thing for Sansa or what, but I wish that girl would get far away from this whole group.

Question because I really don't remember: who is Tommen's real father?
