Re: Game of Thrones on HBO

HBO is taking pre-orders for the DVD of season 1 and the ship date is March 6th. SO, we have to wait another 3 months. ARGH!

Both the show and Peter Dinklage got Golden Globe nominations this morning! I don't know that the show has a chance - fantasy shows rarely even get nominated - but I think Peter has a chance, even though the supporting category is usually the toughest, since it's supporting in drama, comedy and miniseries/TV movie. Interesting that ALL of the nominated shows are cable shows - none from network TV - Boss (Kelsey Grammer's show on Starz), Breaking Bad, Homeland and Boardwalk Empire were also nominated.

Fun entry in the production diary for season 2 today: HBO - Making Game of Thrones - Why Working on Set in November Feels Like Going to a Rock*Festival
#4 and #9 are my favorites.

Oh lord, crowded Sundays start again! GoT and Mad Men on at the same time. I'm going to need a bigger DVR.

At least they're both on cable, which means they'll be rerun 100 times and OnDemand!

My budget is super tight right now, so I'm going to have to wait and see if I can afford HBO for the GOT season. I may have to watch it online the next day
