I'll be the dissenting voice. I actually liked last night's episode. Paul Young still makes my skin crawl and I'm waiting to see what happens with him and his new wife.

I guess the writers only have two for Susan to go--all clumsy and trippy or half naked and sexy! I cant imagine how the s/l on Carlos and Gabby will go to next. I really wish Lynette would dump Tom! She is right when she says he is all whiny and acts like her second baby! That stupid diagnosis where he is depressed and needs naps and hot baths is an insult to everything that Lynette has been thru the past few years! Lets see Tom and Vanessa run off together!
The old lady was only the only bright note on the show last night!!
Nope, you're not totally alone :) Paul was definitely creepy last night! His relationship with his wife has an interesting dynamic...and it's unique for TV. You have to wonder what in the world kind of woman starts up a relationship with a man in prison and then actually marries him - but lot's of murderers and serial killers really do have female "fans"...I'm kinda looking forward to a nice soapy portrayal of what happens when one of these warped women is forced to step out of her fantasy world and realize she's actually hitched herself to a flesh and blood murderer in the real world. I think that may possibly be one story they've never done on a soap before! I'm also enjoying the baby switch story (Gaby and Carlos were the last couple I expected), but DH certainly doesn't get originality points for that one :lolQuote:

The preview about "they could take her away from us" was your classic parental nightmare... but then, don't they want to know their bio child as well? When this happened in real life a few years ago I seem to recall that the kids stayed with the families that brought them up, but also got to know the bio parents....Quote:

He said, That's not right or fair. I told him, I wasn't talking about what was right, I just couldn't stop loving a child I had loved for 8 years and wouldn't be able to give them up and I couldn't not want to have my own bio child.
What a horrible situation to be in!!!! wouldn't wish that on anyone.
As for Paul Young's new wife: I'm forever astonished to hear about such women, who fall in love with men in prison. Some of them have never met these men, some are perpetual pen-pals. I guess there's just all kinds of people in this world.
I'm just surprised she decided to live with him because I don't think she had any intention to do so.
Okay, I think I missed something. What is the deal with Juanita? Is Gaby not her mom? Carlos not her father?
I've watched pretty sporadically over the past few seasons, so it's probably been explained and I missed it. I tried searching around for the answer and couldn't find it. TIA!
I tuned in to see Brian Austin Green and Tuc Watkins, who is fabulous, even in the minimal role he's given on DH. I thought the episode was just okay. The Susan storyline is just lame and I could live without ever seeing Paul again. Gaby's fat jokes about Juanita are getting WAY old. Is she really that insensitive and shallow? That's probably a rhetorical question.
Still, I'll probably keep watching. I'm enjoying the BAG/Bree flirtation. It's about time Bree really cut lose!

where is the other younger daughter btw?
I think that they maybe wrote in this storyline because the little actress may be leaving the show beats killing her off, right?
I'm really curious to see how they're going to resolve the issue with Juanita. (Also curious about seeing the biological child ... will she be petite and pretty like Gaby?) My storybook resolution would be that the bio child either wound up in an orphanage, or her mother/family is for whatever reason unable to care for her anymore, so Gaby and Carlos could "adopt" her back, and they all live happily ever after.:winkgrin Why do I suspect it won't be that simple, though. This is the only storyline that is of any interest to me so far this season, and I hope they don't waste months with Gaby and/or Carlos debating or delaying finding their bio daughter.
Can't stand skeevy Paul ... why bring him back at all; Susan is ridiculous, and I think the whole story is insulting to the actress, like all Teri Hatcher can do is look and act sexy; Bree and the handyman ... meh, she already had a torrid affair with Karl not long ago, so big deal he's a younger guy ... they did that with Susan and the painter a couple of years ago; Lynette's college frenemy is an unfunny, uninteresting character, and who cares if she had a thing with Tom at one time ... is that the best story they can come up with for Lynette? If they didn't have 18 kids, I wonder if she wouldn't kick Tom to the curb. He's more trouble than his whiny butt is worth.
me too!

Lynette seems rather harsh and cold with him at times. It's easy to fall into that pattern but not a good idea. Her friend was right when she spoke to Lynette about it. But, all in all, the whole storyline is not very interesting, even if Tom and the friend had a fling.Quote:

Personally, I think they've all run their course and the storylines are too contrived and the show's just not what it used to be. I used to LOVE the show but not so much anymore.
