Isn't Ken Jennings, though, the one with the most wins?
I thought Rutter had second most wins?

Hi, norealityhere: I think there was a match once between Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter, and Ken Jennings went down in defeat. Not sure if thst is what you meant, however.

    Re: Jeopardy!

Ken Jennings was a 74-time champ after they raised the 5 win limit back at the beginning of Season 20. When they still had the limit however back in Season 18 is when Brad Rutter won his five games and had to retire. he then went on to win the Tournament of Champions ($100,000), Million Dollar Masters Tournament ($1,000,000), and the Ultimate Tournament of Champions ($2,000,000) which gave him a grand total of over $3,000,000 which is even more than what Ken Jennings won in all of his appearances.

The UToC brought back 145 or so of the best Jeopardy players from seasons 1 - 21 to compete for the 2 mill. Ken Jennings automatically had a spot in the final since he was the biggest winner ever before then. Brad Rutter then won his way to the final to face Ken Jennings and dominated all three of the final games.

    In closing, Brad Rutter ftw

THanks, Columbia and Johnny, I didn't know that Brad had beat Ken, or the history of their wins.
I just hope the computer doesn't win.

Less than a week to go!

A practice round of this showdown has been posted on Youtube, and after the first half of round 1, Watson led Ken by $1,000 or so.

    When does the match begin?
And who is Watson - the computer?

    Thanks, Johny!
I will not get to see Wednesday's show, so I'll have to tape.
    Thanks for the heads up!

    Re: Jeopardy!

We're having special events happening for the next two and a half weeks. One of them being the three-day Watson competition, the other I'm guessing being the Teen Tournament. I don't think the first-ever Teachers Tournament is happening already I thought it was like a couple more months away.

    Re: Jeopardy!

They held the Online Contestant quizzes for the past few days, and I wasn't able to take any of the tests because of work.

    Maybe next year...

    Re: Jeopardy!

    I took the online tests.
Allegedly, they can take a year or so - or not at all -before they get back to you.
Even if you pass the test, it's not guaranteed that they put you on.
