    Re: Jeopardy!

I guess my problem with gamers on Jeopardy is that it goes against the grain of the show's premise: buzzer ability being equal, the person who knows the most will win, period.

If someone is smart enough to win, they don't need a bag of tricks. Gamers who don't know the answers will still lose control of the board, and won't score paydays from Daily Doubles, and they won't win the game. So the only gamers who come out of it as success stories are the ones who were already smart enough to win without the gymnastics and mustache-twirling. So, why bother making yourself look like a weasel on such a highbrow TV show?

    Re: Jeopardy!

So after today's game I'm 2-1. But nobody did that well. The leader had, like six or eight thousand heading into FJ?

So far, we have three ToC winners in the next round.

I hope Frank dominates tomorrow. Friday's game will definitely be the best. Jerome, Bob, and Tom - Two ToC winners and the 3rd placer in the 100+ UToC in 2005.

    2-2.

I like seeing dominators live up to their reputations. But now with Mark winning, we have 4 ToC winners in the next round.

I think the College Championship starts on Monday.

And I hope Mad Genius Arthur Chu wins a lot more games.

    Re: Jeopardy!

So for the 80s week, I was 2-3. Tom won the final game.

College Championship is on right now. I have no winner pick, but Whitney annoyed me from the very start. I think she kind of has that "know it all" arrogance attitude.

    90's week is up!

Jeopardy! Battle of the Decades: 1990s Week

Of this batch, the ToC winners are Rachael, Dan, Ryan (Fritz), Robin, Mark, Dave, Brad, and Michael.

    My winner picks:

    Rachael
    Dan
    Robin
    Dave
    Brad

I want Mr. Perfect Brad Rutter to continue being perfect. He's a legendary tournament competitor. He won his ToC, then won a million dollar special, and then won the 100+ player Ultimate ToC. I hope he does well.

    Re: Jeopardy!

Terry O'Shea wins the College Championship! She'll be in the next ToC. Not only that, but she had a perfect run - winning all four games.

As soon as Kevin lost it all on that Daily Double, it was over for him. Too bad. It was a pretty good tournament overall.

Yes, it was a good one. I was rooting for her all the way.

Personally I find these humane mouse traps rather ineffective. Better to lay down some glue and when you hear the critter scream you take a shovel to his head.
