Not too keen on seeing teachers. Do they as a group score higher totals than the general population? I do want to see celebrities on Jeopardy. They used to do that every year at Sweeps times9nove and may) and now that I think of it, I cant remember the last time the famous were on the show.

I'd rather have teachers myself. They've had teachers before. The celebrity episodes always seem to be dumbed down and they take forever in answering as they have to make little quips so they often don't clear the board. The last "celebrity" episodes I remember were last year in Washington and it was newsmakers like CNN journalists etc. I don't recall when they last had the C-list celebrities on.

I love Tournaments. Teachers Tournaments are great. The most recent winner was Colby, everybody's favorite.

He who I pegged as the winner from his first game ended up winning. It was close, though.

I always like to see my favorite person win too. Did anyone ever play Jeopardy online way back when? It was a site where you could play against others and in different categories--regular Jep--Rock and Roll Jep--College Jep--may have been one more. But they were fun and then they stopped the whole site and now all you get to do is play the game by yourself!!

For the record, the Battle of the Decades cast is complete:

Vote to Make Your Favorite 80s JEOPARDY! Contestant a Tournament Contender

Vote to Make Your Favorite 90s JEOPARDY! Contestant a Tournament Contender

Vote to Make Your Favorite 2000s JEOPARDY! Contestant a Tournament Contender

Complete with pics, names, and updates.

Every ToC winner is back except for, I think, two.

    Re: Jeopardy!

I'm not sure how the tournament will be formatted.

But I'm guessing we'll have three regular style tournaments in a row (with each decades' 15 people), and the three winners will face off against eachother for the title of best ever. Also not sure how much the winner's getting.

Brad Rutter's already my winner pick. He's won three tournaments before - His ToC, a $1,000,000 special, and the huge 145-player Ultimate ToC in 2005 for another $2M. He was on the show when they still had the 5-win limit. Ken Jennings may have been a 74-day champ, but Brad Rutter's won more money than him.

    Re: Jeopardy!

My pick is Jennings. As a former contestant, I respect his going as long as he did -- that's the toughest thing. Money is more of a "luck" thing.

But what do I know? I'm a "mere, boring" teacher.

Well, getting on any show is itself an accomplishment.

There's a rule saying that if you've been on Jeopardy in the last 30 years (while Trebek was hosting), you can't go back, right?

A couple people in the past few years got caught as repeat offenders and had their winnings taken away.

True it was in the huge stack of legal papers we had to sign:
One-shot deal, unless you're invited back for TOC or some other special event, at the discretion of the producers.
