But that was 11 years ago, so rules may have changed?
When I was on, we signed a release that said that the producers had the final say. And that was 25 years ago!

And jadewarlock . . . during the commercial before Final Jeopardy, the stage director came up and had each of us write a big "W" on our slates - just to make sure that we'd remember to put the answer in the form of a question (Who, What, When, Where, Why). And I've sometimes thought that a contestant would hope they could bluff their way into saying that an illegible answer was actually the correct answer . . . just sloppy. Yeah, right.

LOL! Yeah the War and Peace-length release I remember that!

    New season is on.

Current champ, Jared Hall, is very good. He won his 6th game last night.

I miss watching Jeopardy! Something else comes on at the same time so I try and catch it on the weekends! Do you like that new Million Second Quiz that's been on the past 2 weeks?

Kind of -- but it's too easy and too gimmicky. (And I'm kicking myself for having been outside the buzz for being a contestant, because I could totally win this sucker.)
It's better than that stupid Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. At least this one moves quickly-ish.

I'll watch for the testing/audition notices.
The thing that surprised me a little when I was on Jeopardy! was how big a factor the "lights, camera, action" and studio audience played in my ability to think and recall clearly. If I were on another quiz show, I think I'd do better.

I can imagine that all that goes on in a tv studio with an audience would hamper your ability to think quickly and accurately!

no. I tried watching it after it aired, but I feel like I've missed too much.

    I'll stick to Jeopardy.

Fun fact though: The big $2M winner, Andrew, was on the Jeopardy Teen Tournament a long time ago.
