Her first name is really Jane. Yellowlees is her middle name (or mayber her maiden name, don't know).

Much as I like Drew I am ready for a new champ.

And that info about his tongue was gross and totally TMI.

I kept thinking about it every time he answered a question. Euuuuww.

Well, not today. Drew wins game 8.

He's got to be one of the luckiest superchamps (one that wins more than 5 games) ever. Multiple times he's stumbled backwards into a win.

    Matt Lauer To Jeopardy?

The Huffington Post | By Rebecca Shapiro

"Jeopardy's newest host." The answer to that clue could be "Who is Matt Lauer?!"

After taking a serious beating in the press this week, the New York Post reported on Friday that Lauer is the favorite to replace "Jeopardy's" Alex Trebek when he steps down as the game show's host in 2016.

Sources told the Post that Sony, which owns the classic game show, is also considering CNN host Anderson Cooper as Trebek's replacement.

It's been a rocky couple of months for Lauer, whose popularity has plummeted since the "Today" show replaced co-anchor Ann Curry. Though network executives have gone on the record a number of times to insist that Lauer was not responsible for Curry's exit, audiences seem to blame the longtime "Today" host for her departure. As a result, "Today" slipped to the number two show in morning television behind ABC's "Good Morning America," whose growing inclusion of soft news stories seem to have helped its ratings.
First of all, I don't remember Alex saying he was stepping down in 2016. Maybe I blocked it out, or maybe they have it wrong. But even though Lauer can be a little douchey, I would prefer him over Anderson Cooper, mostly for vocal reasons. Anderson is super-smart, but he sounds like a stammering teenager, which isn't the best voice for someone who spends most of the time reading questions.

I'll have to search my brains to think of the best candidate for the job...who should take over Jeopardy?

    Re: Jeopardy!

My first thought would be Kevin Spacey, if only because I'd like to hear that voice on a daily basis.

But I think brains are going to have to play a role in this, not just game show host smoothness. They may have to search places like the panels on Real Time with Bill Maher or the Sunday talk shows to find the best candidates.

I don't even want to think about losng Smooth Alex but how about a woman? Jane Curtain is very good when she plays and she's an excellent actor with good stage presence. That's off the top of my head. And Meredith Viera does an excellent job reading questions and interacting with contestants on "Millionaire."

Or perhaps someone younger? I'll have to think about this for a while.
