Ditto. Always has, always will. Joanna Garcia also annoys me. However, I do love Kurt Fuller and Debra Jo Rupp, so it will remain on my tape list for the time being.Originally Posted by anders332;4086376;
And seeing as I just saw the one where the fiance wanted to buy the firehouse this past weekend (my tapes tend to hang around for a bit), I wish to vent a little about people with no ability to see potential. As soon as they walked into that place I though, wow, that would make a fantastic living space - high ceilings, big windows, open plan. Perfect for someone with the enthusiasm and skill to do the work. You fix something like that up, you're going to end up with something that would otherwise be way out of your price range. But no. The pair of silly twits are just like all the other dimwits who look at a house for sale and won't even consider it because it needs a little work.

Bugs me too - I watch a lot of those home buying shows and it always grinds me that everyone wants a move in ready place for next to nothing. Bathroom has green tiles - oops can't buy that......
Mine was move in ready, but needed to be tweaked, I'm still tweaking and will probably always tweak.

We have just finished paying off the mortgage (took up five years!) on a house that we laughed at when we first saw it, and are just finishing the last bit of absolutely necessary reno. However, approximately ten weeks spread out over the five years of physical labour and about $15,000 have increased the value of our property by $200,000 (not just my opinion - it's in the city assessor's list), and various neighbours have literally thanked us for improvement. If we had gone with something that didn't need any work, we would still be paying that mortgage and we'd be doing it until we retired.Originally Posted by anders332;4088036;
