I agree, but I also don't really like Mike's Mom. I find her to be far too abrasive.

The only "family" on the show I like is the grandmother. She is fiesty.

She and grandmother weren't on the one episode I've seen. Hope to see more but it competes with other shows usually, and I already tape so much!Originally Posted by canadian_angel;4097606;
I haven't seen this week's yet - still on the tape, but I didn't like Mike's mother - too stereotypical. The show is full of stereotypicals - I'm not sure this will do well enough for another season unless they rejig Molly's mom and sis - way to white trashy for no good reason, other than to make Molly look like the normal one in the family.

Believe nothing that you hear and only half of what you see. :nono
I've still not seen this show. Still watch DWTS.
However, when we went to see The Talk a few weeks ago, there was a young guy sitting next to me with his mother. He had a very similar hairdo to Whoopi Goldberg and said he was on M & M. Both he and his mom (who was visiting from DC) seemed like lovely people. She seemed so proud of him.
Does anybody know if he plays a lead role on the show?

I remembered the name he told me was the same in first and surname, but couldn't remember it to be able to Google it.

In the episode I saw he had a minor role, but he was good in it...he and Mike's other friend were telling him he needed to play it cool and hard to get with Molly after they'd had sex instead of buying her baloons and stuffed animals. Mike squashed them just as you worried he'd take their advice by saying something like, yeah, I should take advice from you two about having a girlfriend, when I'm the only one of us three who actually has one. He was amusing, not abrasive like Molly's mom and sis.
I did have to laugh at Mike's comment on taking their advice about dating and women. I have listened to many telling me the same thing about dating and men, who were not in relationships. Most of the lines are something I have heard or said myself.

Was anyone else disappointed in this week's episode? Molly just seemed cranky about everything poor Mike was doing for her. To me, she doesn't seem happy or smitten anymore which doesn't bode well for their relationship. Hopefully she turns things around!
