And that opening scene with the tribute to Chin's wife with all the surfers in the water was touchingly beautiful. And good ole Doris McGarrett is still on the island? This should be interesting...
I agree. I was hoping he'd be a recurring baddie. Once again he was great. But WOW, what an exit! I slo-mo'd it to see how it was done. That truck had to be CGI.

Well, shoot--I saw tonight's Hawaii 5-0 was a rerun (Sat.) and hoped it was the one you've all been talking about, but no, it was a way earlier one where the school bus full of kids gets buried in dirt. I've only seen about a third of the shows, but that was one.

Lovely spoiler, Ellen. I'll be looking forward to that.

Awww....Five-0 was so good tonight! I love the friendship dynamic between Steven and Danno when they show how much they genuinely care about each other. Loved the flashbacks from Danno's days as a detective in New Jersey and the back story featuring Terrance Howard and T.I. I especially love that Danno's daugher Gracie was named after his deceased partner. Good stuff. It be nice if they did more flashbacks like that from time to time with the other characters.

And how cute was that part at the end with Danno and Grace dancing together at the father / daughter dance?? Soo cute!

Ooohhh -- checking to make sure it's on the DVR queue....
I love this show and almost always watch it -- but on days like today, I've been known to fall asleep way too early...

Definitely an episode worth watching. I love that the writers immerse the character's personal lives into the episodes. Makes me care that much more about the characters.

My Sig. Other has started to nod off during anything after 10... I kept having to explain what was happening with all the time jumps.

I also liked the explanation of Grace's name.
