Anyone else see this past week's show?
I just watched my taped episode & WOW, Ed Asner was great. Even at his advanced age he can still bring it. He really stole the show.
I don't think I've ever been cheering for a cold blooded killer character like I did with him.
I doubt he'd be up for a recurring character, but he'd be great.

Also, I loved the clips from the original Hawaii 5-0, bringing back an old character like that.

Gawd, I LOVE this show! Yes, Ed Asner was superb on last week's episode. I've always loved Asner anyway, especially from his Lou Grant days on The Mary Tyler Moore Show. It was great to see him reprise his role on Hawaii 5-0 - and seeing the old footage from the old show was wonderful! One of the things I enjoy about the new version of show is the continuity not to mention it always has great guest stars every week.

As someone who does not know the original show at all, I really appreciated the way they did that. It allowed me an understanding of the character without having to have seen the show.

Anyone else watch the 5-0 / NCIS LA cross-over last night? It was good. Looking forward to the continuation on NCIS LA.

On a side note, I'm missing McGarrett something terrible. Can't wait until he returns!

I watched last night's Hawaii 5-0, I'll watch tonight's NCIS-LA (although maybe not until tomorrow or Thursday). I like how they're tying up the storyline for G's nemesis while they're at it.

This should be the one week that they said McGarrett would be out (although he wasn't really in all that much of the last new episode, either).

I haven't watched it yet and likely won't till tomorrow, but I'm disappointed McGarrett isn't in it. I had, wrongly, assumed last week's was the episode he wasn't in. That they had just added that bit with him in the end after. Darn!

I watched last night and really enjoyed it. I'm recording the NCIS LA episode tonight. Have to say, I really don't miss McGarrett that much. I like him, but I like the rest of the cast more.

Really enjoyed the crossover, even though I'm not a huge NCIS LA fan. I did enjoy witty banter between the two teams. The next time I hope they do a crossover with NCIS instead. And while I agree with you, Florimel, that the others more than hold their own without McGarrett, I still need my weekly McGarrett fix! So hurry back McGarrett...I misses you!

Can't wait to for the finale in a couple of weeks...I'm sure it'll be awesome!

I loved the cross show banter too! I feel like it was a solid crossover. They stayed true to each show, but still incorporated the other actors.

    I too ...

    - am not a fan of NCIS LA, but
    - enjoyed the cross over and banter
    - wish they would cross with (original) NCIS
    - I like the Danno character a lot ... but really miss McGarrett
