His constant extreme sado-masochism was just too overwhelming for me to stand each week. He had absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

That is very true! The scary part is that people like that exist in this world.

The fastest hour on TV is each episode of this show! I just want it to continue! However ... I'm a bit lost already. Who was Richard killing and why??

Harrow is on a sniper campaign to murder men working for the Old Mission Title and Insurance Company. Is it a job? Did they somehow mess up title to the mansion Jimmy owned and which by rights would be his son's, not his mother's? His victims seem to have no idea why they are being slain. Nor do we. Two of them happen in a parking 5 hours by car from Columbus, Ohio - so we know he is traveling on his mission. Is this a job Harrow is doing for someone else? Maybe Old Mission had a hand in whatever happened to Richard's family? Maybe he's going home to let his sister know she's being avenged.

Maybe we’ll find out later. But for now, we’re as bewildered as the Old Mission executive Richard shoots twice who somehow manages to hang on long enough to ask why.

I am also wondering if Margaret is keeping Owen's baby. Nucky referring to himself as a bachelor intrigued me, too.

Thanks, Poppy. I felt kind of sorry for the man who was going to give the skates to his son. Wonder if there will be no Margaret this season. Was the actress's name in the opening credits? I forgot to notice.

Kelly MacDonald was on the opening credits in her usual slot, so it was disappointing not to see her. She's a perfect counterbalance for Nucky. I wonder what her role will be about this season.

I hope we get to see Margaret soon. Didn't catch sight of her in the coming attractions. Also hope Richard gets more screen time this season and not just for killing people. Maybe now that he's reuniting with his sister, we'll see more about his background and more of his softer side. This might be an unpopular opinion, but I wish Gillian would OD and be gone from the show. Her only function is to take care of Tommy (and what a fine grandma she is!), and I'd much rather see Richard raise that child, with a suitable adjustment of lifestyle, of course. Maybe he and Emma could be like mom and dad to Tommy. Of course, nothing turns out to be fairy tale-like on this show!

I think I read in an interview that we were going to see Margaret in the 5th episode.Wouldn't bet the farm on it though

I think Tommy will end up being with Richard and his "ladyfriend". I hope so, anyway. I am so glad to hear that everybody seems to be as confused as I am as to what is going on. I was worried that I had missed something crucial! Since Richard is a marksman/sniper, I was surprised to see the guy with his throat cut!

This show fills my hole left by The Sopranos!!

In the director's explanation of the episode, they basically said it is in Richard's nature to be a killer so he was basically doing it until he felt the need to stop. To me that doesn't explain it very well but I suppose the first few murders triggered something inside him that he needed to deal with.
    Yup, with donuts!!
