Hi all! Does anyone know what Eli went to jail for? I couldn't figure it out.My husband was talking at the same time and I think I missed it.

Re Eli going to jail, did he take the rap for the murder of Hans Shroeder?

My question: What did Nucky do when he opened the medicine cabinet in his girlfriend's bathroom? It looked like he removed the blade from a razor. Why?

He took the blade out, turned it around and then replaced it. I'm guessing it isn't his razor but the beau she keeps talking to on the phone. Maybe he wanted it to cut the guy when he shaved?

Aha! Maybe he thinks he'll recognize the guy by cuts on his face (assuming they're in the same social circle)! Thanks, buglover!

Wow, I had to drag this from page three. Where is everyone?

I was hoping for a Gyp rampage after last week's mess, but it looks like that's coming soon. And Gillian....that woman has issues. Major issues.

At first glance, I really thought it was Michael Pitt. From certain angles the actor was a ringer, but from others not so much. Regardless, issues galore!

I'm selfishly kind of glad there was no Gyp. I'm not a fan of BC, at all.

Since so much happened last week, this week's episode was a bit slow. I really wanted to know what was going on with Van Alden and his wife, but I guess we'll have to wait. I really did like Richard's storyline and possible love (or at least friendship) interest.

Is anyone else wondering if Roger (King James II) will figure in a Gillian scheme to pass for Jimmy? As in... getting her title to the house of ill repute she's running?

I have to say Teddy is creeping me out more than Gillian now.

Hooray for Owen and Margaret rekindling their own fire. I was half expecting to see Teddy's face in the greenhouse window spying on them.

I'm also wondering if Margaret's birth control/reproductive education passion is a foreshadowing of her getting pregnant with Owen's child.

The oddest turn for me this season (so far) is that I find myself rooting for Eli.

    Re: Boardwalk Empire on HBO

I loved the direction/editing of this past episode, with all the doors closing and opening as transitions. Poppy, I agree about Eli; he's done right by the smuggling operation (which I realize is illegal and all, but it shows he wants to protect his own) and really just wants back in the fold.

Bobby Cannavale's accent really annoyed me. It went from this to that, especially in the confrontation with the priest and in the church. I really just want his character gone at this point.

My other head scratch moment is the Gillian story with the Jimmy doppelganger. I'm trying to figure out why she needed a body. The lawyer dude in the previouslies said they could declare him dead. So why not? Either the Commodore had a will that left his house to someone else (and then Jimmy being dead doesn't matter one whit) or he left it to Jimmy, or he died with no will. Jimmy would have inherited the house, and with him being dead, it goes to his son. Gillian is the only living relative, so she'd be guardian/curator/whatever since the son is a minor and could do what she may with the house. There was no reason for a body. Which leads me to the next question, because I can't remember and probably need to go back and rewatch the finale from last season. Did Richard know Nucky shot Jimmy? I seem to remember he was there, but that could just be false recollection.

I over think it because I love it. And the Richard parts were just so satisfying. I wish they'd hurry up and bring Van Alden and Chalky back into the story.
