From seasons past I thought that Mary and Pamuk incident was oral sex. Recall when Mary stressed losing her viginity and he responded by saying there were things they could do that would not impair that. Just speculating.

Is anyone watching The Paradise from Masterpiece Classics? I love it. I've never heard of it before. Is it new? This past Sunday was the first time I've seen it on PBS.

Yes, I'm watching The Paradise. I'm enjoying it so far though I've seen only one episode. It has a lot in common with Mr. Selfridge though Selfridge is based on real events and Paradise is totally fictional. Still it's based on a novel by Emile Zola, and that can't be bad.

I am enjoying The Paradise. I found it aired in Great Britain in 2012. A second series has been ordered.

I caught it on-line it when it first aired in the UK, and really enjoyed it. So glad to see it again on PBS!

Yes, I recognized Minnie! I love her as that character. She's a hoot! And of course, Laura from Lark Rise, as well. She's playing quite a different role as Jocelin.

Laura is on there? Oh my. I missed that one. Who does she play?

She played Joceline Brookmire, the woman who had left her husband and got Sam in trouble.
