Love this show and enjoyed the Christmas special.

I will admit to being a bit surprised at the road taken (don't want to spoil anybody who hasn't watched yet) by that cute little nurse whose name I always forget.

Thrilled to see Poldark in the PBS lineup. I assume it's a remake and not the old BBC series.

I think it's a nice/fun nod that they plan to bring back Robin Ellis (the original actor playing the part of Ross Poldark) to the show in the role of Reverend Halse. I'm looking forward to this new adaptation too.

I forgot about Call the Midwife Christmas Special, but recorded it last night! I saw most of it though. I just love this show. I'll look forward to discussing after I watch it all the way through.

I knew it was Vanessa because of her voice, but I kept wanting to get a better look at her to confirm it was.
You can't have everything....where would you put it?

I did as well, but still, it was nice to see and hear her. What a wonderful voice she has

For a minute I thought they were foreshadowing Chummy taking over the home for unwed mothers. Recall she made a comment about her son being sick due to living in the city? But, then her husband passes the exam, so I doubt he would likely leave London at this point. Still, it seemed like a great idea for a spin off. Chummy running the home for unwed mothers and the young mother that she helped on this episode living there and training to be a midwife too. (The one who was so fake and had actually been abused.) I like that actress and thought she did a great job.

I get pretty distracted when watching this show. I know a woman in real life who looks so much like Cynthia! It's unreal. AND I know a man who reminds me so much of Chummy's husband.

Well, Chummy was able to take a bus to the home from downtown London. So if they moved to a suburb halfway between London and the home, they could both commute.

It was a fabulous episode - I loved every minute of it, and also enjoyed the new girl you referred to. Can't wait for the new season.

I liked that actress too. She seemed awfully familiar. I can't place her though.
