I really am not sure how they will handle the narration.... probably just continue it, but it does seem odd without Jenny there.

    I have a question...

So, was this Jenny's last episode or will she reappear after her rest period at the convent? In other words, will Jessica Raine complete this season? Anybody know?

She does complete the season. Since I guess others know now, she does leave after this season. This is because the actress wanted to play other roles. The show will continue on without her.

You know, I KNEW there was something familiar about the actor who plays Delphine, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I was a HUGE Rome addict!!! Now, it all makes sense! Delphine always did seem a little shady and, when she got Harry into her club for the card game, her shadiness went waaay up. I do fear that Rose has been sucked in and played for a fool. I was thrilled when Harry put an ass-whipping on Loxley, and showed him NO mercy!!! It looks like Harry cannot breach that circle he longs to enter; hopefully, he now gets that and moves on and makes his OWN mark and avenges himself AND his wife.

Just saw the latest Midwife episode. Wow. The boyfriend...at first, I thought he would end up in some kind of coma, and then it dawned on me that he was going to die. I was shocked for Jenny. How very sad. I am not big on things wrapping up with honey, hearts, and flowers. That could not be more boring and forgettable.

There are 10 episodes in S2 and this past Sunday (4/20) it was episode #5 which was aired in the US. We're only halfway thru the season I agree with you and feel S2 is more enjoyable than S1. I'm really LOVING this series!

Personally I find these humane mouse traps rather ineffective. Better to lay down some glue and when you hear the critter scream you take a shovel to his head.

I, too, am enjoying this season.

Maybe it's just me, but I think JP is doing a far better job of portraying Mr. Selfridge this season compared to the first. It seems he's much more comfortable, relaxed, and likable with his current interpretation of the character. Granted, five years have passed within the storyline so possibly Selfridge himself was more relaxed but I think this change has more to do with JP than Mr. Selfridge.

Yes, this series of Mr. Selfridge is awesome. Loving the Lady Loxley story. I'm so glad I stuck with this show during the first series when I couldn't stand Piven's Selfridge screaming in my ear. I loved his toned down version this series. I think I even like it more than Call the Midwife now. I can really tell that the original Jenny stories are over.
