A few suggestions, Punkin, why don't you try your local libraries: one of the branches might have the Mr. Selfridge Season 1 DVDs. And what about checking PBS.com, YouTube, Hulu (or Hulu Plus), Amazon.com and Google Play. Also, are there still any VCR/DVD rental places anywhere near you? They might have the series to rent.

If you have Amazon Prime, you can find both the U.S. and British versions of Season 1 at no charge. Without Amazon Prime, it's there, but you have to pay for it.

Weird! Not available here on streaming or disks from Netflix. And so few of the BBC programs on Masterpiece Theater are available onDemand from Comcast.

I did think it was strange that the season 1 repeat seemed to be done, mostly, after midnight with several episodes on one night. I would have missed it had I not done a Masterpiece Classic search on my DVR and set my recorder. I was feeling desperate for some Masterpiece, and lucked out.

Loved the show last night. I guessed the children's conditions almost right away. Sad though. Even now living with that condition is difficult.

What a great cast. I think I like this show more than DA!

Chummy sure does seem to fall into motherhood so naturally. With her first child and she seemed to have so much time and energy left over. My goodness. Who was washing her baby's nappies? lol

While she loves little Freddy, she wants to also keep doing something else she loves- how shocking
