    Re: 24-Season 8

24 has had some head scratching moments but the Dana Walsh heel turn was beyond stupid. What has she done to hinder CTUs attempts to stop the terrorists? Why would she help the 2 dummies rob the place when it could have blown her cover? Couldnt she had just called one of her terrorists buddies to kill them when they were at her Apartment? Then after she helps them, she brings a gun to a strip club (that never gets anyone in trouble) and then drowns them in a lake. Throughout all of that, she has ZERO composure and clearly is distraught when they have to sink the bodies.
Lets also just throw away that she lives with the head of CTU operations and somehow shes been colluding with terrorists behind his back.
This is all before you even consider that she is someone with a felony record working for a government agency.
I read online that the producers rewrote her storyline after hoards of fans were complaining how stupid it was. If that was the case, it would help explain why its so unfathomable.

Im so glad they are ending this show after this season. Just a shell of its former self. Once I came to grips that it couldnt even compare to the original seasons of the show, this season has been entertaining but thats about it. Its no longer a show with great "OMG" moments and good writing. Its a glorified cop show with terrible plot lines. Can you imagine if they let Jack die last season? It would be unwatchable.

So long Jack, we'll miss you. 24 was always ridiculous and never made any sense. This season took it to the extreme. But, we were always entertained, even if it was just because we had something to talk about.

In fine 24 fashion, it seems they will attempt to fit in every previous storyline into the final 10 episodes.

This week, the annual Chief of Staff turns of the president story.

Then the season 3 Alan Milliken I'm having a heart attack storyline.

Then there's the countless times we've had the ambushed while escorting someone storyline.

And also the minor character just introduced dies in a blaze of glory storyline with the secret service agent.

And coming up in the previews, looks like it's the Jack interrogates the mole storyline and a former president helps a current one storyline.

Oh Jack, we'll miss you and your recycled plots. Even though we made fun, we still watched every hour.

We did have one new thing though: the mole in broad daylight storyline. How can no one notice Starbuck talking to herself at her desk? Not to mention the countless times she's making calls on her new cellphone. (remember, the EMP took out all old cellphones, so somehow there's a really important number she keeps calling and receiving calls from).

I wonder what else out of the old bag they'll pull out. Maybe Tony Almeida shows up, or Wayne Palmer. Maybe someone rises from the dead.

Lol, Starbuck's character is super pointless. Number Two was a much better character.

24 - the end is near... there must be something more to this, or else it's a weak ending. Must be some other villain lurking out there for Jack to fight with. Otherwise, what's left? So what's he going to be doing for the next 6 hours? Trying to expose the Russians with no evidence while everyone is chasing him? And assuming he's successful, which he always is, then what? The U.S. government looks bad? The peace conference ends? End of series? What kind of ending are we headed toward?

This is the end of the series, and I am crossing my fingers it was worked into this hour. I don't want Jack killed off, but it may be the only outcome that works for me. I hope more and more as the hour continues that he is out solely for vigilante revenge and not necessarily what is good for the country. Does he have enough time left to expose the corruption and to take out Logan and the Russian emissary?

I need one more Aaron Pierce fix, please!

Hubby and I both remarked how much Hillary Clinton's cover picture on last week's Newsweek looks like Allison Taylor. Coincidence? LOL If so, I don't know if it is supposed to be a favorable comparison or not, because President Taylor is quickly imploding.
